We stayed for 7 nights at Castle View. Everything about this site is stunning. Immaculately kept spacious pitches and extensive grounds. The views from each pitch are breathtaking. There are plenty of lovely walks from site and a pleasant walk to St Michael's Mount. We used the local bus which was just a few minutes walk away. We had a problem with our car and James could not have been more helpful, even arranging a lift for us to collect the car from the garage. We have used CL sites for many years and this site is definitely in a class of its own along with the lovely owners! We will definitely return.
Amazing Views from a Great Location.
We stayed at Castle View for three nights recently but could have stayed permanently! The view of St Michael's Mount is to die for. The castle is lit up on Saturday nights and looks fabulous.
James met us as we arrived and was very friendly and attentive.
The site is superbly maintained and each pitch has uninterrupted views of the Mount. We loved how the pitches are named after local areas, we stayed on Marazion.
We can highly recommend The White Hart pub for food, it is just a five minute walk away from the site.
Marazion, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole and lots of other beautiful places are just a short drive away which just adds to the convenience of staying here. You can catch a train to St Ives from Penzance or St Erth with fantastic views of the coast. We would recommend St Erth for convenience (you don't have to change trains from here).
Alternatively, you could just sit outside your caravan or motorhome on your own private picnic bench and admire the stunning view.
We will definitely be back to Castle View, we had an amazing stay! Highly recommended.
Best kept CL ever
Just returned after our 9 nights holiday and what a beautiful site. Most definitely one of the best kept sites we have ever stayed on. James made us feel very welcome and came to our caravan to introduce himself. The views, especially of St Michael’s Mount are absolutely stunning.
We’ll be back!
Stayed here for the second time in September and we’ll definitely be back. It is absolutely beautiful, we have been to several CL sites and this one beats them all. James the owner is really nice and helpful when needed.
Views from all pitches are spectacular, has to be seen to be believed, we just loved sitting outside our caravan taking it all in.
Loads of places to visit within half an hours drive. We went to St. Ives on the train, which worked really well. We had a Chinese take away from Sea Palace and an Indian take away from Little India both in Penzance and would recommend, also would recommend The White Hart pub a few minutes walk from the site that allow dogs. Great dog walk on site and off site, our Golden Retrievers loved it.
Can’t wait for our next stay at this truly lovely site.

Perfect!
Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Castle View, as you drive up the drive you a greeted with a riot of colour from the stunning flowers on top of the wall along side the drive. It then opens up to the CL which is very well spaced out with views that are to die for, right across St Michaels Mount and Mounts bay. It really is the most relaxing well tended site we have ever been on, James is on hand and always happy to chat and help with anything you could need. We have already booked a return visit.

Best site ever
We have just stayed at castle view for 2weeks 11th - 25th May. We had a fantastic holiday on the most beautiful site, did not want to leave we have booked again for next year. Immaculate grounds and bright colourful flower beds, which James the owner works very hard on. The place was spotless with everything we needed. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Great view of the Mount. The Wallis family are lovely nothing is too much trouble for them.
The best CL in the country!!
We can’t believe being a runner up for CL of the year that this site didn’t win the award! It is a fantastic site.
The CL is managed by James and is in the grounds of his working farm. James spends a lot of time maintaining the site, inspecting each pitch before new arrivals. He is very flexible and accommodating and knowledgable about the area.
The pitches are shaped, spacious and all hardstanding gravel. Each pitch is fully serviced and has a quality and comfortable picnic bench and 5 planters of beautiful flowers which really add to the pitch experience.
The views are breathtaking, looking at beautiful countryside one way and the sea the other. You can see St Michaels Mount which illuminates on a Saturday evening, round to Penzance and Mousehole on the other side.
The site is tranquil, the perfect base to explore all Cornwall has to offer including many shops with fresh caught Cornish fish perfect for the barbecue.
We really can’t recommend this site enough, however beware… it is addictive and you will most definitely want to return irrespective of how far you have to travel!!
If you have friends you wish to bring along without a caravan, the site also has luxury glamming pods.
Must be One of if not the best CL in the country
a 3-night stay at this fantastic CL. The pitches are nice and level and big enough for our twin axle 8' wide caravan. The facilities are first class and the view is to die for. James the owner is very friendly and helpful. There is also a nice field on site to run the dogs. What more could you ask from a CL or any site for that matter.
a real find
spent a week here this month in varied weather. Stunning view to St Michaels Mount. The CL photoes don't do it justice. James the friendly owner spends a lot of time keeping the site tidy. Plenty to do and see in the area. We walked some of the coast path and down to the Mount crossing the causeway to reach the island.. . Beware of walking there through Marazion Marsh as the railway foot crossing is currently closed 15.4.24 due to ongoing improvements. Good local transport which is important to us as we park up and don't move the van. Nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk, buses to Penzance and St Ives. Walk 15 - 20 minutes down to the A30 to Ludgvan Leaze or Varfell Turn to catch the Lands End coaster bus and others.. Local pub, 5 minute walk serves reasonable pub grub. Spar shop in Crowlas . will definitely go again if James has a pitch, the site is very popular abd gets booked up quickly.

A very special CL site
Arrived at Castle View and spent one of our best holidays on this fantastic CL site over the Christmas period. The service pitch was flat and pristine with our own water, waste and EHU and the chemical waste and bin area immaculate.
The panoramic views from the site are spectacular and take in Marazion, St Michael's Mount, Penzance, Newlyn and round to Mousehole, and all are within easy visiting distance from the site.
There are plenty of supermarkets, shopping outlets and eateries in Penzance and nearby Hayle, St Ives and Porthleven as well as many independent retailers in this area.
James and his family were wonderful hosts and added to the festivities with a Christmas tree on the pitch and a bag of 'goodies' to help celebrate Christmas, which was a lovely touch.
As seasoned campers from tent through all aspects of camping/caravanning to motorhome over the past 45 years we cannot fault this fantastic CL site and will be back in the future.
Many thanks to James, Debbie, Emily and Jen.
