What an idyllic place

We have just stayed for a week on this lovely site and wish it could have been longer. Views from every pitch are breathtaking and the site feels like it is in the middle of the countryside but is close to amenities. The pitches were spacious, level and had the services adjacent to each pitch. Our hosts were always available if we needed them but left us to our own devices. They were so helpful and friendly. When there was a slight problem with the water on site James was quick to respond and kept us up to date with what was going on. It was sorted very quickly, although the problem was with the local water board rather than the site, so it didn't detract from our holiday. The pub is a five minute walk away and there is a walk from the Church down to St Michael's Mount which is clearly marked through fields and a nature reserve which was beautiful. We will be back!

The best yet!

Well, what can we say? We managed to book 8 nights on this new CL and wow! This site and location are fantastic and it really is idyllic and peaceful. James has given an enormous amount of consideration as to the location, layout and services he provides. Each large hard standing pitch has its own picnic bench, 16A supply, mains water and grey waste drain, as well as beautiful flower tubs and the most amazing views. To cap it off, the whole site is kept immaculate. For a CL, the quality is first rate and credit must be given to James and his family, who are extremely welcoming and helpful. There is an excellent pub serving good food, just a minute walk away, in Ludgvan. The location of the site is less than 5 mins to Marazion (for St Michael’s Mount) and just a little further to Penzance. Both the north and south coasts of Cornwall are easily accessible, with a bus service that passes the site. This must be the best CL we have ever stayed on! - thank you James, Debbie & Jen for 8 brilliant days!

WOW absolutely stunning

We received a warm and friendly welcome from James he couldn’t of been more helpful. Also Jen came to help accommodate us to be able to stay an extra night. Nothing was too much trouble. Idyllic spot with amazing views across the bay looking right at St Michaels Mount and beyond. The pitches were all very large and well spaced out. Each hard standing pitch has a picnic bench with plants around the edge which was a lovely touch. A bit of luxury having a fully serviced pitch. James is there nearly every day taking care of the surrounding land, keeping the grass cut and each pitch tidy. A very peaceful stay, the only noise you hear are the birds. We have already booked for next year. I would highly recommend this site.

Beautiful site

We spend 1 week in Devon then our 2nd week here. Our first thoughts as soon as we pulled up were, wish we could have had our two weeks here instead. This site was immaculate and spotless. A lot of thought and effort had gone on to each pitch. Each pitch is very large and spaced away from others ,hard standing and level with 16 amp hookup, waste water, tap and picnic bench. Also on each pitch were begonias in planters, which was a lovely touch. The obvious selling point is the most amazing view down on st micheals mount. Absolutely stunning, so much so i didnt want to leave, infact we rebooked for next year while still on site. There is a bus stop 5 mins walk away that runs frequently to st Ives and to penzance. We actually walked into penzance that took us about 30 mins. There is a lovely pub that is also 5 mins walk in to the village that makes a lovely steak and ale pie! The owners, James and Debbie were very welcoming. James takes great care in the up keep of his site.We did wonder if he ever give himself a day off! James and debbie, you should be really proud of your site and i know for a fact that as soon as people become aware of this site you will be fully booked all the time. This site has to the best CL site, well worth the 400 miles we drove.

Stunning!

Wow, what a beautiful site! This is a relatively new CL site and the owners, James and Debbie, are very welcoming, informative and happy to tell us about the local area. The road leading onto the site is well thought out and sympathetic to the stunning landscape and each pitch is spacious with lots of care having been taken to ensure they are level. There is plenty of space to park your motorhome or caravan in a good position to ensure that the absolutely stunning views can be enjoyed. There is a picnic bench on each pitch along with a water tap and drainage for waste water. We walked for five minutes along the back path from the site and caught a bus into St Ives which gave us a chance to enjoy more of the area and not have to worry about parking. We also cycled (about half a mile) the the nearby Sculpture Gardens which are well worth a visit. If you want to go across to St Michael’s Mount you will need to book tickets (and the ferry if the tide is in) in advance which can be done on line, the garden there is beautiful but steep! Thank you James and Debbie for your hospitality, we will definitely be back and it has to be the best and favourite site we ever been to.

Castle View Campsite.

This site is simply stunning, the views across Mounts Bay towards St Michaels Mount takes your breath away. All the pitches are level and well supplied with electric, water and waste. When we arrived at this site the owners were very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. We will be visiting this lovely site again very soon!!

One to visit for sure!

You wont find another view like this campsite has. Beautiful immaculate landscaped site with level hardstanding fully serviced pitches. Outstanding views of St Michaels Mount and Mounts Bay. So much to do and see in this area for days out. Lovely circular walk around behind the campsite on private land. James and his wife are welcoming hosts and must be so proud of this undiscovered gem of a campsite.
