Stunning Site

Wow what a beautiful site. No showers or toilets but it didn't matter. The site is immaculate. James works really hard keeping it in pristine condition. The view is amazing. Jen is really helpful when booking or if you need any information. Bus stop at the end of the lane and a pub with walking distance. Will definitely return very soon.

Our stay in April

We have just got back from our first visit to Castle View. Wow! The pitches are large, fully serviced and very tidy. The view from the pitch is amazing! We never tired of looking over at St Michael's Mount. We received a warm friendly welcome from James and Jen. Both before our arrival by an information email and then once we had settled in. The site is very peaceful! Its location is ideal for those who park up and leave the motorhome insitu. Within a 10 minute walk you will find the local pub that serves lovely food and a bus stop with no.16 buses to Penzance and St Ives. From Penzance we got on an open top bus and toured the coastline round to Sennen Cove, which is beautiful! Then onto St Ives. Back on the no.16 bus to Ludgvan. I highly recommend the trip! It is a lovely way to see the southern most area of Cornwall. We will definitely be looking forward to our next stay at Castle View. This site will be hard to beat! Thank you very much James and Jen!

2nd visit as glorious as 1st ❤️❤️

This is our 2nd visit to Castle View, we visited last October. We said we would be back, but just curious as to whether i was just so in awe of the site because I hadnt been before and that’s why I loved it here so much last October. Thankfully not 🥰🥰.. still the same feeling of amazement when we pulled on site again, same jaw dropping reaction to the wonderful view. Owner remembered us and site is getting booked up now which is great for him and so pleased as he works so hard to make sure everything is right for everyone. Very helpful and informative, even grabbed us the number of a taxi firm when we were here last time and got a price as we had asked about prices to Falmouth .. Easy access to site, straight off A30 and a couple of miles up the road through Ludgvan and left turn down Eglos road and a few hundred metres on right. Site, as everyone has said is open and loads of room between the 5 pitches, which are fully serviced. All hard standing, great for winter visits,(not many sites open during the winter in Cornwall). No showers or toilets on site but clean and modern facilities to empty toilet, and your own drain to empty grey water.. perfect .. Bus stop up the road which goes to st ives and Penzance or if u fancy a train journey, then direct route from Penzance to Truro 😍😍. 50 minute walk to Marazion and the mount and probably the same to Penzance. Since being here in October we have visited other CL sites including previous winners of site of the year, which were lovely and can see why they won, but my vote will be going to this one for 2022, as in my opinion far exceeds any expectation. We will be back again soon, that’s if there is any availability 🤣🤣.. Would love a Facebook and twitter account launched for this site so everyone can add pictures and share experiences and tip on there?? .. this site is a must, you will not be disappointed 💞💓💗💕

Pitch Perfect

Our first trip to this lovely CL was in early November and we knew right away we would be back. Sadly, a planned Christmas trip there had to be postponed due to covid. The location is lovely with super views over Mount's Bay and Penzance. The pitches are lovely, level, hardstanding with water, hookup and grey water waste. The Elsan disposal point is handy and very clean. The site is large with easy access and lots of space to stroll. It's only a few minutes drive to lovely Marazion and Penzance. We have yet to visit the nearby pub so can't comment on that. The site is easy to book and the owners are extremely helpful. The turn into Eglas Road would be easy to miss but just follow the directions and you'll find it. Looking forward to more visits to this lovely CL.

A fantastic site

This CL is just perfect , easy to get to Off the A30, well set out with access roads up to the perfectly flat pitches all of which are large hardstanding. They have a luminated bollard with water and waste points. The have even given each pitch a picnic bench. The view is just jaw dropping over mounts bay with St Michal's mount to the left and Penzance to the right , it was our first trip in our new motorhome after switching from a caravan and despite storm Arwen's best efforts we could not of chosen a better site. The owners were great to contact via txt and email , pub within 20 min walk will visit next time. We will be back in the spring.

The Best CL

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of September and the previous reviews say it all. We have stayed at lots of CLs and this is the best one yet the views are awesome the facilities are excellent and the owner is friendly and helpfull. There is a typo on the directions is says the road name is Egkas Road and it should be Eglas Road

New 2nd Home

We are still on site and have been regulars to this part of Cornwall over the last 5 or 6 years. This is by far the best site we have stayed on. As previous reviews have mentioned, the access is nice and easy to negotiate, each pitch has its own water and water waste. The bin and toilet waste area is lovely and clean. We have only met one owner up to now but a welcoming, helpful and informative chap he is. Then there are the views. Wow. I will be amazed if anyone stays here and does not gibe this site the full 5 star rating it deserves. Looking forward to our stay in December.

Fantastic CL

This was probably the best CL we have stayed on in 12 years of motorhoming! There was nothing to fault. Yes, the view is amazing and is the 'icing on the cake' but the spaciousness of the site and thoughtfulness of the layout is fantastic. The owners are friendly and helpful and anxious to please which all helps to provide a wonderful stay. We live in Cornwall (only 45 miles away) but it was good to get away and we shall return!

That amazing view

Not long back from this stunning and beautiful CL. Only open in summer of this year, if you are serious about all things caravanning, put this site on your list of places to stay. It is immaculately laid out with ample space between the 5 pitches, all of which have their own water tap and grey waste and picnic bench. The pitches are level and have the most stunning views of Mount Bay and St. Michael’s Mount. Without doubt it is the views that make this place and we never tired of our morning delight when opening the blinds. Access is very straightforward and a well thought out one way system to avoid any comings together. It is ideally positioned for the whole of the south western peninsula and has an excellent network of public transport. James, the owner, is a lovely man and happy to chat to you without being intrusive and is happy to share local knowledge. Having used a lot of CLs over the last 12 month, this is by far the best one we have stayed at and you will never get tired of “that amazing view”.

You won’t want to leave

Well what can I say ? We are not strangers to Cornwall have been visiting for over 40 years and know it very well. We had seen the reviews for this site and honestly thought it looks beautiful but what’s the snag? Well there isn’t one. This site within 10 seconds of arriving you will be in love with the place and wont want to leave. The views are to die for and the peace is just awesome. Entry to site is easy and literally a couple of miles off the A30. There is a bus stop and pub up the road and Penzance and st Michaels mount is a couple of miles if you want to walk or cycle to them . The pitches are all fully serviced, water,EHU and Grey waste. All very level. No showers or toilets which isn’t a problem if you have water pumped straight to your unit. 4g signal and tv signal is great, but you won’t need them because you will be so in awe of the view !!!.. Plenty of room between pitches, which there are only 5. Also has some glamming pods in field behind. Owners very communicative and helpful. This site is now top of our top 5 coastal sites which has knocked one we have been going to for over 20 years off top space 😳😳.. we will be back and definately worth the 260 mile trip to get here .. i could rave about this place all day but am off again to enjoy the view 🥰🥰
