Lane narrow and bumpy but once you get on site the views make up for it. Stunning scenery. Basic site but EHU, water and chemical waste. Owners very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Great Views!
As already stated, the lane off the road is narrow and on an incline (it is also an unmade track) however, it is worth it!
The site itself is on a gentle slope and has short grass. We were there after a wet spell in February and it was so well drained the caravan wheels hardly left a mark after 5 days.
The views are the best we have had from a site.
I'm sure we will be back!
Great CL
The entrance is directly off the A5 up an incline. Although it is quite narrow it is not a problem if you take it steady. We were unsure if we were on the right field as there were no other outfits and we could see a motorcaravan elsewhere. We got out to explore but it was then clear that we were in the right place. How difficult it is to choose a spot on an empty CL where there are amazing views in all directions! Photographs don't do it justice. We thought we could just park anywhere with access to a mains point but then saw that there were numbered wooden pitch markers. There is plenty of space between pitches to face your outfit in any direction you want. We did not see the owners immediately but this was no surprise as it is also a working farm. As others have said, this is a fairly level site given that it is on a hill and it is very peaceful.
The nearest convenience store and hotel/pub/restaurant are at least a couple of miles away but we did not use either. We visited many places during our stay. Mileage may be low but allow longer for journeys along twisting roads. The one Welsh word we came to know was "ARAF" painted on most roads and meaning "slow".
One day, we had torrential rain and winds so strong that we had to take out awning down. The owners kindly offered to let us use one of their barns to dry it out so that we didn't have to take a sodden awning home.
In summary, this was an ideal CL for our visit to North Wales. The owners are planning to have a chemical disposal point near to the field and a place where they can put tourist information.
We would definitely recommend to others
Perfect cl
A perfect cl in our view. Panoramic lovely views. Nice & level. Well mown grass, well kept. Owners are lovely people. New born lambs were a bonus. Thank you Dewi & Kim for a most enjoyable stay.
Fantastic views with a warm welcome
We have just come back from a long weekend at this cl. The site is well signposted off the A5 with excellent instructions in Dewi's email. When you turn off the main road there is an inclined track which leads to the farm house. At first you do wonder if you are in the right place but it is well sign posted. I'm glad that a previous review about the approach didn't put us off because we would have missed out on a wonderful place. The road is not a problem at all if approached slowly! The field itself is large with plenty of room to pitch . There is electric hook-up, the usual recycling, toilet waste is at the side of the owner's house but not a problem. The views are amazing. The peace and tranquility is awesome especially if you happen to be the only ones there like us. We got a very warm welcome and a chat when paying and a farewell too. The best bit though was visiting the newborn lambs. The site is well placed for snowdonia, Betws y coed and the north Wales beaches.
This is one of those sites that you want to review but also want to keep a secret to enjoy yourself! We will return soon.
Beautiful site
We have been going to this cl for about 15 years when dewi’s dad ran it and it’s still just as nice.
Lovely scenery and close enough to main attractions.
Peaceful with great views.
Nice peaceful site with great views, easy access to local places of interest, friendly and helpful site owners who came to find us after arrival to make sure everything was alright. Would certainly recommend this site for anyone wishing to visit Snowdonia and surrounding area.
One word, Perfect
What can we say? This is one of the nicest CL Sites we have been to. The site is very well kept, clean and tidy. The pitches are grass, but well mown, drainage is good so no issue with getting stuck.
Views are absolutely stunning and to die for.
The owners Dewi and his wife are very welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
With regards to previous comments about the path up to the farm there are no issues and absolutely nothing to worry about for anyone concerned.
The site is also well situated centrally for numerous towns and attractions.
This is by far one of our favourite sites and have already returned and will be returning again when we need some quality relaxing time.
Fully recommend.
Fantastic Views
This site is well signposted but we struggled to get up the very narrow and steep rickety path!
We never ever saw the owners on the site! We were there a week and we had to ask another caravanner where the chemical disposal point was! It's situated beside the owners house? I did go looking for someone to pay our fee and eventually found someone to pay! The site itself is very basic but the views make up for everything. It was very peaceful and the location is ideal for the surrounding areas. Despite the non welcome from the owners ( who could have been away?) we would definitely return.

Excellent CL
Our first visit to what to us is a perfect CL. On a hillside the views across the valley are beautiful, the site well maintained and the owners very friendly. Access was no problem with our van and the location of the CL ideal for visiting the coast or walking in Snowdonia. This will be a site we will be returning to again soon.
