Our first visit to Collacott Farm

On 24th June 2014 we arrived at the farm CL. We were immediately welcomed by the owner Mrs Stagg and her dog. Such a nice friendly lady and dog. We were given a hard stand pitch which we had requested for our motorhome for 5 nights. Great views and if we walked or cycled downhill for 2 mile we had access to a bus route or the Tarka trail (walking or cycling)  Such a great area to visit with a Costcutter supermarket in Fremington. We had a great holiday and would recommend this CL. Thank you Mrs Stagg for a great holiday and for all the local information you gave to us.

Cracking site

We stayed at this CL in late April / early May as part of our tour of the UK in our caravan.  When I made the booking in the winter May promised that the weather would be good when we arrived. It was and the welcome was exceptionally friendly. The local pub, The New Inn in Fremington is friendly and serves good pub grub, the chinese restaurant across the road from the pub is top class. Highly recommended site. There are great walks in the area, you can see those we did at our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk

Breath of fresh air.

What a beautiful place , the most delightfully run C L. We arrived early in the morning and were well accomodated by an ever so kind lady who couldn't help us enough. Ten minutes from beautiful Instow ( my childhood holidays were spent here). Peacful location with more than adequate hard standindg facilities. A true working farm with lots of charm. Interesting pets Alpacas are also in the adjacent field a true winner for childeren ( and adults). Thanks again for a wonderful week.

A North Devon Gemstone

May Stagg will give you one of the most warm welcomes. The approach to her CL is along a newly tarmaced driveway laced with an abundance of beautiful flowers. The CL field is on a slope but pitches are level. Adequate new EHU provided.Plenty of fresh water and a newly constructed elsan dosposal point. The views across the Taw towards Chivenor will take your breath away. May provides a very clean fresh toilet recently clad in UPVC . Use your own shower facility. Down the hill into Fremingtion is probably the country's best chinese restaurant and takeaway, The Han Court. No MSG used in cooking and a very varied interesting menu. If you fancy fish and chips then go to Graylings. They have won numerous champion awards and always have a "catch of the day" special. Last time it was Rock Salmon. May's pricing is very reasonable indeed. IMO this is one of the best CLs for location views and peace. You can also see May's Alpaccas. Sky TV dish works perfectly.
