A stunning site in a perfect location.

Just returned from our first stay on this site. We were made to feel very welcome from the start, with Andrew showing us around the site and them pointing out the landmarks of one of the best views we've seen on any site. The site is beautifully maintained, with burst of colourful flowers to add a touch of colour. The pitch was perfectly level, a nice change! This is a beautiful area, with fantastic walks available from the door. Dufton is well worth a visit, with some incredible walks and a very nice pub for a refresher after your walk. Would wholeheartedly recommend this site.

Lovely site in excellent position

As described by other reviewers, this site is well kept, peaceful and has lovely views. The owner is very friendly and provides lots of information on the area. I didn't use the WC so can't comment. Appleby is pretty and interesting, and check out nearby Rutter Force waterfall if you have time - but if you have a big unit don't try and drive right down the access road to it!

Recent Stay

Just back from a week at Croft Ends. We had a lovely stay on a wonderful site with great views, the site was nicely set out and very well kept, a good base for exploring West Morland. We had a slight problem with the caravan and Mr Bellas was very helpful in sorting it out. We will certainly be back in the future. Thank you Andrew for all your help.

One of the best

Upon arrival we were met by Mrs Bellas who was there to assist on levelling and showed us all we needed. This is our first year and we only go to cl sites and after 10 short break through the summer we can honestly say this is up with the best. Immaculate toilet facilities, views, spotless maintained site, levelling boards, extension grey waste pipe, information and friendly hosts. The area is great for walking and accessible to the A66 to go further if needed. Highly recommended.

If Carlsberg did CLs ...

Be careful that your satnav doesn't take you to the wrong farm. We followed the owner's instructions and looked for the pink house. The B6260 off the A66 is the better option as the unclassified road was wider. Everything was clean, Val [the owner] was a delight, the views are stunning - still snow on the hills, the A66 gives plenty of options for visiting other areas, the town is only a mile and a half way - steep hill climb coming back and the unclassified roads have no pavements, the train station is on the Settle & Carlisle - we went to Whitehaven on the marvellous Cumbrian Coast train service from Carlisle. Walking opportunities are many. Or you could just relax on site. It is a farm. In the early morning and later evening, the cattle were bellowing as they had not been turned out into the fields. We felt the bellowing added to the atmosphere. Being on the top of a hill, the weather can be different to the valley. Toilet is in an out building and utilitarian. Information room has numerous out of date leaflets etc but Val will be updating them. No mobile phone signal for some people.

Great place to stay

Just returned from this site, didn't manage to get on the CL site but stayed in the 'overflaw' which consisted of five more spaces. We were the only ones on this part so able to spread out! Still had the same views as everyone else and use of facilities so didn't feel as if we were missing out. Great place to stay, the weather was lovely and sunny which was a bonus but would have had a great time anyway. Owners were lovely people, friendly and helpful. Had a lovely walk into Appleby, about 30 mins. Will definitely visit again and will stay longer and take in a few of the walks recommended by others

Fantastic views and great facilities

What a great CL, a friendly welcome and well maintained site. Lots of walks direct from the site with lots to see and do. Fabulous views of the North Pennines and a village pub just across the field. A perfect week of relaxation to recharge the batteries.

The EDEN valley is an apt place for this CL.

This gated CL is beautiful. Each hard standing pitch is fully serviced. Better than most Club Sites unless you pay for the fully serviced pitchs. Our view from caravan over looked the North Pennines. There is easy access to the Pennine Way. Both Mr and Mrs Bellas very helpful and friendly, a good welcome. This was our second visit, and hopefully will not be our last.
