Our stay at diamond house

We have just spent 2 weeks at this lovely site, it's a great location, the grass is well maintained and the toilets are very clean. There is a bus service every 30 minutes from the site into Lincoln every day, none on Sunday. There is a cycle path from the site along the river to Lincoln, or if you wish you can go the other way to Bardney and Woodhall spa. It's a great location and all for £18 pound per night, we certainly will be coming back.

Lovely stay

Thank you for a lovely stay on your site, it’s well looked after and clean. The owner is very welcoming and polite the site is clearly marked with the CL area in the next gate to the other pitches. ideal for walkers and bike rides. The bus service is very good and regular will definitely be back soon.

Well kept site

We’ve just visited this site again and once again had a great stay. The owner Les was as always super friendly and helpful. The facilities are immaculate but you do need 50p for a lengthy shower. This is perfectly located for access into Lincoln and has a regular bus service into the city during the day. Well kept and east to identify the CL site and we would highly recommend a visit. The charges per night were clearly explained and are easy to understand.

Pleasant commercial site but not a true CL, beware of the price quoted!

Commercial site of approx 15-20 pitches/long term storage pitches with CL, although unclear which bit this is. Great location, just a few miles out of Lincoln city centre. Well kept. Clean toilet/shower (50p meter). The down sides - we were quoted £20 per night. Then on arrival we were told about the electric meter system - very confusing new meter system left lots of caravanners unhappy and scratching our collective heads. Owner was clearly very dedicated to checking the meters and charging additional fees for "overuse" but wasn't very helpful in explaining clearly. We were frankly baffled, as were our neighbours on other pitches. Neither did we feel welcome when the owner questioned the size of our family, We have four lovely polite teenagers who all live with us at home, twins twice, all our own. Hardly a house party. We won't return, there are enough genuine, family friendly five pitch CLs with more transparent pricing.

Endless walks

We we booked in for 4 nights but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cut short by 1 night the site owner phoned us up to see if we were ok and offered us a night free if we visited again, what a lovely guy the site was lovely with loads of smashing walks I would definitely recommend this site.

One of the friendliest campsite owners we’ve met

On arrival at Diamond House by Les who was so welcoming and when we had a problem with our car he was very helpful. The site has large pitches and is very peaceful, the facilities although basic are very clean. If you go to the field at the back of the site two barn owls fly around most evenings, a wonderful unexpected sight, we also saw two woodpeckers on site. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the pub in the village which was friendly, the food was tasty and we thought good value.

3 Nights and 2 Days

A nice, well maintained CL with plenty of space which adjoins a larger private site with which it shares all facilities. A little road noise but not intrusive. High hedges obscure countryside views but it is still pleasant to sit outside the van in fine weather. The photo on the website was clearly taken some time ago. The No 3 bus runs regularly from outside the site into Lincoln. Walking from the site is limited to the largely straight and flat Tarmac cycleway running along or close to the River Witham. 5 miles West goes to Lincoln but walking there and back won’t leave much energy to explore Lincoln and climb the hill to its cathedral and castle, which is well worth doing. 5 miles East goes to Bardney where there isn’t much to see. Although the River Witham is a naturally occurring river, it resembles a manmade slow moving canal along which there is a very small amount of traffic. There is a local bird reserve but getting there and back requires a longish road walk. The site will suit cycling enthusiasts who can cycle along the cycleway to the more distant Woodhall Spa, which is worth visiting, and beyond. The local village of Fiskerton has no shops.

Lincoln on the Doorstep

This was a perfect site from which to explore Lincoln. the owner was helpful and friendly and we had a lovely pitch with hedges to allow privacy if required. The level cycle path to Lincoln (or other places if you go in the opposite direction!) is easily accessible. We saw otters while walking along the cycle path on our first evening. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either it or Lincoln!
