The site is within reasonable walking distance of Alnwick (20-30 minutes) and adjacent to footpaths beside the Aln Valley Railway. There are footpaths to Alnmouth.
There are convenient retailers across the A1 - M&S Food, Sainsburys and Turnbulls. Turnbulls is a local retailer who have an excellent butcher, fantastic range of local beers and home made ready meals.
