A GEM OF A SITE!

Although we are fairly local to the area (Ashford), this was our first visit to this site. A good level, well mown (Cuttings collected) site. Exceptionally well maintained and a credit to the friendly owners Paul & Mel. Plenty of space and all the peace and tranquillity anyone could wish for. Well stocked information & book swap room. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Don't want to praise it too much as we might not get back in!!! A real credit to the Caravan Club.

Top Class

Excellent site, peaceful, grass is kept short (cuttings  collected).  A hut is full of local information and you can also borrow maps.   Adjacent field has a long dog walk.  Road from Wittersham is narrow but we did not find that a problem.

What more could you wish for !

We spent the last 2 weeks of June here and from the moment we arrived we could not fault a thing. The site as previously reported is, flat pitches well spaced, waste emptying points are easily accessed, waste removed daily and a most excellent information "summer house", filled with loads of ideas of where to go. The grass is kept well cut and importantly the clippings collected, so no cut grass being dragged into the van. If you are a National Trust member there are so many places to visit within easy reach. Then you have the coast, Romney Marsh and old towns such as Rye. Two weeks was not long enough! Should we re-visit this part of Kent, I wonder where we should stay, Here of course.

Perfik part 2

We visited Forge Meadow in 2013 and left a well deserved excellent review after our visit. This is just a short note to advise that after spending another five days here last month everything is still as good as it was. If peace and quiet and nature is what you are wanting you wont go far wrong here, we spotted a Green Woodpecker and a pair of Jays within an hour of arriving on site. Well done Paul and Mel we will be back for a week next year.

Excellent site

Just spent 4 nights on this excellent site.  Owner friendly and very helpful.  Very well maintained; complete with quality versions of the usual facilities and an information hut.  A few dogs occasionally barking somewhere nearby during the day but didn't hear them at night.  Would definitely recommend this site.

A five star CL !

One of the best CLs we have ever stayed on. The location is peaceful and the site so well kept it provides the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Paul and Mel are very welcoming and provide you with information about the area. The information hut also provides details of places to visit. Don't miss the steam train ride to Bodium - you can catch the train at the end of the road! We will certainly stay here again if we re-visit the area.

Kentish Wonder!

What a find! Paul and Mel, the owners, have only had the C.L. open for two years. Looking at the field when we arrived it was immaculate. Grass freshly mown and collected. Paul was on hand to welcome us and obliged by opening the gate. Nothing was too much trouble for these two. They were a mine of information about the locale, and further afield and so helpful. The field for the CL is all grass, firm and level. It forms part of some 30 odd acres they have with easy access to walking routes. The information hut is very well stocked and is of superb build. There are two taps for fresh water at either end of the field (both within very easy walking distance from your unit whichever one you choose). At the house end of the field is a very well constructed toilet emptying facility with rinsing water laid on. The site makes a superb base for touring this part of Kent with many attractions not too far away. We stayed for a week and wish we could have stayed for longer. Paul and Mel are lovely people. I challenge anyone staying with them to think otherwise. It goes without saying, "We will be back".
