Lovely weekend

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing weekend at Forge Meadow. Mel and Paul were friendly hosts and their enthusiasm for us to have a nice stay was very welcoming. We found the print out of local footpaths and information sheet very useful and the information hut was very well stocked with lots of information on the local area plus books and magazines of interest to borrow. The site was well tended and kept very clean and tidy, with easy access and mown grass and nice and flat and level. We had a lovely Sunday and enjoyed walking straight out from the site across the fields, we recommend the High Weald Landscape Trail towards Smallhythe, lovely views and scenery. We enjoyed sitting listening to the lambs in the evening. This is our first time visiting an adults only site, our reason for booking, and it was lovely not to have our weekend ruined by boisterous families. We will definitely return as we had a relaxing time and the site is well placed for walking, with several footpaths nearby. We don't live very far away and I think this site will become a regular spot for us to escape to - providing after all the good reviews there is still some space left! We look forward to returning very soon.

What a fantastic site

This has to be the best CL site we have ever stayed on. Mel and Paul welcome everyone on their day of arrival with information on the site and local area. The pitches are huge and very clean. There are no facilities, however, there is electric hook up and a very informative information room. Mel and Paul ask that the waste is used to water their hedges, which is fantastic. The site is meticulously kept, the bins and dog bins are emptied every day, and nothing is too much trouble for them. If they can help they will do all within their power to assist. Access is very good from Wittersham village. Paul also is very happy to show how a pony is shod in his forge in the evenings. The pitches are so large it is like a breath of fresh air. There is total quiet, no planes, traffic noise, just birds and horses. There is so much to do in the area from National Trust, English Heritage and RSPB sites. We have just returned from 2 weeks there and have not seen everything in the area.. In our opinion this site is well worth being entered into THE BEST CL SITE highly recommended.

Perfection...

What a find. Nothing to say except .... perfect. I will add that the peace and tranquility, so tidy and well groomed, and the welcome at Forge Meadow, we have not found on any other site. We were sad to leave after our short stay, but hope to return soon. Thank you to the owners.

Just Perfect!

Reluctant to say too much about this beautiful site as we would like to keep it our little secret! Easy to find and tucked away down a lovely quiet lane. On arrival we were given a very friendly welcome by Paul, who gave us all the information we needed to set up & we immediately felt at home. The site is well set out & very peaceful with hardly any traffic noise, BLISS!. Surrounded by lovey countryside and walks in every directions. Mel also came over during the evening to welcome us & to make sure that we had settled in ok. The whole site is very well kept & as this is a fairly new site it is looking great, having many new young trees dotted around. Mel & Paul have also created a very useful information hut, including walks, places of interest, places to eat etc, along with a small library of books which can be exchanged. The caravan pitches are spacious & set out so that you can enjoy sunshine all day long, should it show it's face! We were very fortunate to experience beautiful weather during our stay & also enjoyed watching gorgeous sunsets directly from the caravan of an evening. Paul was also kind enough to let us watch him at work, in the forge, which we found very interesting. There were several other caravans & owners on site during our stay, all of whom were impressed with Forge Meadow. Couldn't wish for friendlier people, better location or peaceful site. We are looking forward to returning again next week.........please don't tell too many people about this site as we fear that we will have trouble booking once the word spreads! Winking

Superb Pitch

Just got back from a short stay at this site, Very easy access. I used the OS grid reference on my SatNav and it took me all the way to th right gate. The postcode leves you some little way away. The pitches are extra-ordinarily spacious. The grass is kept clipped short, The whole site is level and is kept spotlessly clean and tidy. The rubbish bins were emptied daily whilst we were there. Water points are well placed, and are of reasonable pressure, and so refilling the AquaRoll was a painless experience. Chemical disposal point is spotless too, with good rinsing facilities. Electric Hook Up points are very well placed (The EHU Bollards light up at night too!). Charges made are very reasonable, connsidering the quality of the site. In short a super place to stay. We shall certainly go back for another visit.

A wonderful site

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at this site and wanted to do a review whilst it was fresh in the mind. Prior to any arrival at the site we were sent information regarding the amenities, directions to the site, confirmation of booking and places of interest. Upon arrival we were met by Paul who showed us the site and told us where the facilities were. The site itself is beautiful and laid to lawn which during our stay looked like a bowling green. There are five spacious pitches and water facilities at both ends of the field. There is an information shed containing info on places of interest locally and details of any services you require during emergencies! This is the perfect place to unwind as is blissfully quiet and ideally situated to visit Tenterden, Rye, Ashford and National Trust Properties. Paul and Mel are excellent hosts and make you feel most welcome. They can't do enough for you to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. We shall definitely be back soon and so with a heavy heart give this site ten out of ten as others will want to use it as well!!!! : )
