We phoned in april to book 4 nights over the bank holiday half term but on arrival on the friday evening after a busy day at work , we were told we did not have a booking. Luckily there was one pitch available for the friday night but we had to go home in the morning as no pitch for us. Very disappointed as we had travelled 100miles to get there. On return home i did check my phone records when the phone call was made , so my advice is to phone ahead before you travel just to make sure you are booked in, as otherwise it may be a costly trip for nothing. The site itself was fine, showers and toilet facilities good. Trains a bit noisy but i guess we would have got used to them. Lots of cats around so keep your caravan door shut or you may have some visitors!!. Otherwise the family were friendly.
