Arrived for 7 night stop and met at the gate by friendly owner. Although no doubt mostly used as a stopover it is really worth staying here for longer if you want to tour. We visited the Northern Lakes, Hadrian's Wall, Eden Valley, Carlisle, and Dumfries and Galloway. My good lady also managed to fit in a beauty session as Margaret is a qualified Hairdresser and beautician and has a full salon on the farm. Plenty of life on the farm besides the cows and sheep inc Raptors. The site is next to the nursery field so we were surrounded by pet lambs all week. The trains didn't bother us at all. The dawn chorus made more racket!
