Secret hideaway

A lovely site in the beautiful countryside with water and electric to each hard standing position. Ideal for our short 3 night stay whilst touring Wales. Close to the Welsh Botanic Garden, Aberglasney Gardens and NT Dinefwyr. The Shower and WC were an added bonus along with the warm welcome from Mrs Edwards.

14 night stay

Lovely welcome from Mrs Edwards who explained arrangements & local attractions etc. All hard standings with water, electric & drains on each pitch. Lovely scenery all around with Paxton Tower overlooking the site, looks lovely when lit up at night. Good access and ideal for travelling to different attractions depending on your tastes. We would return to this site if we came back to this area, a real gem.

What a little gem

Stayed for 5 nights in June. Excellent CL with a great welcome from Meryl. Very easy access with lots of great places close by to visit, the local pub Emlyn Arms was lovely for a meal and had a good chat with the landlady. The facilities for a CL were superb and kept spotless. We hope to return soon.

Great site.

Great site, easily accessible, hardstandings. Excellent toilet and showers in a professionally converted half shipping container. Good tv signal, good phone and 4g. Water and grey waste on most pitches. Good chemical disposal point. Two pubs The Emlyn Arms and the Golden Grove Arms both serving food on either side of the farm Lane. We did not get to use them so can’t say what they were like, though fellow caravaners said the food in the Golden Grove was lovely. Views. Paxton Tower on nearby hill, lit at night, can be driven to with car park nearby. Nearby Dryslwyn Castle. Good site for visiting the National botanical Gardens of Wales. If in the area would definitely use again.

A gem of a place

This is one of those places where you don't want to praise it too much because then everyone will want to go there and you won't be able to get in. This place is lovely, extremely peaceful, fabulous location, fishing on the doorstep for husband, great facilties, pub within walking distance, what more can you want. Plus for us, as we travel to Ireland a lot from Fishguard, perfect stop off place.

An absolute gem!

We stayed here for 5 nights in May 2016. Seems in the middle of nowhere, but you have Paxton Tower on one hill and the ruins of a castle on the other, so the scenery is absolutely stunning. Very welcoming, and the shower/toilet was absolutely spotless. Although you don't appear to be near a main road, there is quite a lot of traffic noise if you are sleeping in the awning! But this is only a small downside compared to the benefits. Would highly recommend the site and will certainly go back.

Disney has Cinderella's Castle- Glantowy has the real thing

Glantowy Farm – Disney has Cinderella's Castle- Glantowy has the real thing

Overall rating 5 Stars – The site is memorable because of an outstanding location with a 1 million year old (or thereabouts) Castle/Tower as your scenic backdrop. The site is well maintained and a lovely toilet/shower block. Clean and tidy.

Peace and tranquillity. This place was mystical on the night we stayed, the mist came over the site and there was silence. As stated “The Paxton Tower” can be seen from the site and at night it is lit and stands glorious on the hill. But with the mist, it was almost spiritual and eerie too. Loved it. The CL owner really should put a photo of the CL site with the tower in the back ground, then you would know what makes this so special.

Access to local places of interest. As on many of my stays on this given trip it was a stop over on a long journey and I don’t know what there is locally to offer. But I intend to use this site next time I travel this way.

Surroundings and scenery. As I said, very quiet, only farm noises, tractor, cows, stream. We walked and found a river within 500 meters. It’s simply great.

Ease of arrival/welcome. My sat nav is still grumpy with me as I cheated on it with Google Maps recently, however once nearby the site was easy to find (with google maps, shhh). We met the owner who was lovely and helped with local knowledge, places to eat and drink etc. We will be going back.

Lovely CL

This CL is far enough off the road to be peaceful and has well maintained level hard pitches and a shower and toilet on site that are well maintained. 5 minutes walk away is Wrights Food Emporium which, despite its rather grandiose name, serves wonderful food and is not to be missed. Good base for walking with the river nearby. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very relaxing

We have just returned from 6 nights at this lovely peaceful and relaxing site. Unfortunately the weather was a bit of a let down however the site more than made up for it. The views from the site are spectacular. Seeing the House Martins brought back happy memories of my childhood. The toilet and shower block is kept extremely clean, however, the only small let down is that there are no towels for drying your hands on, but after the first visit you remember to bring your own with you. I would highly recommend this site to anyone visiting the area and Mrs Edwards gives you an extremely warm and pleasant welcome.
