Perfect CL

Nice warm welcome from Peter with an information pack and order form for his home grown vegetables. Must be one of the best CL's in the country. Easy access off a quiet lane to a beautiful flat grass field with plenty of space. All pitches have 16amp electric and a water tap with grey waste emptied into the hedge. Good CDP, rubbish bins and a nice information hut, Good WiFi . Lovely views from the peaceful site and glorious walks straight from the CL. Only a short walk into glorious Bibury one of the jewels of the Cotswolds. Booked for the Fairford air show this year, perfect to watch the aircraft fly in and practice.

Super CL in a beautiful location.

2 adults / 2 nights in VW camper van 6-8 July 2023 Orchard Meadow is an all grass site with spacious pitches situated on a quiet lane. Julie and Peter run two Orchard CLs at the same location. Both are dog free, but the other site, Orchard Lodge CL, is smaller with hardstanding. The location allowed us to leave the van on site and get everywhere we wanted to go on foot or by bike. The lack of toilets / showers was no problem because we were able to use our portaloo and shower tent. We were welcomed on arrival by Peter who was absolutely charming and explained how the site worked and gave us lots of information about what to see, where to eat etc. He also gave us a map of two lovely local walks both of which we managed to do. We were really impressed by Cirencester which we visited on ebikes - 17 mile round trip on mixture of stunning single track lanes and quiet roads. Woke up to see two green woodpeckers feeding on ants near to the van on the day we left! Highly recommended. P.S. Excellent wifi!

Lovely site

Peter welcomed us shortly after we arrived, and once again outlined the site and surrounding area, with useful advice for walking, biking and eating! It’s a lovely site, flat, huge pitches and a relaxing place to stay. We appreciated him advising different places to visit as we had stayed before. The information room is also full of good ideas. Bibury is a beautiful place, and lunch in the Trout farm is always a pleasure. I’m sure we will be back again!

A truly lovely CL

Having previously stayed at Orchard Lodge CL, this was our first visit to Orchard Meadow. It is a very well presented site with stacks of space between pitches. Really well stocked information hut but even better is the fact that Peter or Julie welcome each guest and explain what’s on offer in the area. Peter provided us with maps featuring two suggested walks which we completed and really enjoyed. It’s only a 15 minute walk into Bibury which an absolutely charming Cotswold village with a good pub serving decent food. Overall this is a CL which we would highly recommend and will definitely be revisiting.

Fabulous stay at lovely CL

My husband and I stayed for 10 nights in June for both a little R&R and exploration of the Cotswolds and were so glad we chose this site! We were very impressed with the booking system which, when you arrive, your allocated pitch is shown on the arrival board which makes it much easier than trying to find scramble about finding your own pitch! It is set in an acre so plenty of room between units even when full with 5 vans! Julie and Peter were perfect hosts - very friendly and full of advice for sightseeing, etc. It's within walking distance of Bibury, and we had a couple of lovely lunches in the Catherine Wheel. It is well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. Thank you Julie and Peter - we will definitely be back!

The Perfect Stay

Enjoyed a perfect stay @ Orchard Meadow over the bank holiday weekend. The site is peaceful, spacious and a great base for some lovely walks. Thank you to Peter for providing some really helpful information on the area - and for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning! 😊

Great Hosts

We were welcomed by Julie and Peter who gave us a mass of usefull information including local walks which we enjoyed immensely The site is immaculate and haseasy access. The site it ideally located to explore the Cotswolds and we will be back later in the year.

A fabulous location

Orchard Meadow is a very pleasant site, we were welcomed by Julie on arrival and located our pitch very easily. The information hut was stocked with lots of ideas of places to visit and also the WIFI code. We were given a map of two walks and we completed the easy 3 mile round walk through Bibury. The field was well maintained and the grass was short and we were able to position our motorhome sideways which received the sun throughout the day. Pitches were well spaced and we were not disturbed by others. We would visit again and recommend to anyone wishing to stay in tranquil surroundings.

Another great stay

2nd stay in Orchard Meadow and another restful and pleasant stay. Julie and Peter are great hosts and keep the site immaculate. Both CL's are very nice, but we prefer the slightly more open aspect of the Meadow. Hope to get back again this year, or next if not. Thanks again.

Great CL!

This was our first stay at Orchard Meadow but we’ll be back! Julie and Peter were very welcoming and came over soon after we arrived. The ease of having individual EHU and water is so convenient. We walked from the site on both days and the walks were recommended to us on a printed map by Julie. Wi-Fi is included and is excellent. Thank you for a lovely time and for maintaining such a great CL.
