Great short break

Just had a great short break at moss lane. The weather was cracking which always helps. Great base for starting out. Toilets and shower were very clean. The site was very tidy and well maintained. Had a fantastic full breakfast to set us up for the day. Had a good walk with the dogs to the plough at eaves inn (40 minutes) on a slow walk. Car boot was on as well on the Saturday Which was a short drive. Guys thatched Hamlet also a short drive and a good walk along the canal. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. Nice to meet Andy who popped round to see us. See you all again soon and thanks for a great stay.

Short stay

We recently stayed for 4 nights and we must say what a delight it was . The ease of access was good and the pitch condition was clean and drained well. It is hardstanding, the ground is tough for pegs, but we pitched our canopy on the grass. . There is all you need , dunny, dark water waste, a toilet, shower facility and a cracking little cafe, with cakes TDF. Over all a lovley quite site, only bug is the amount of long legs and wasps, keep your fly screens closed and take a spray can. But we will be back, most enjoyable

Recommend a visit to the American Diner but go hungry the means are huge. We also used the cafe next door to the site one morning very tasty breakfast. A visit the Plough was very worthwhile good food pleasant surroundings all of this in the info Andy sends you.

Delightful location

We stayed here on our way to the lake district and enjoyed our stop over very much. Super friendly and peaceful but with a nice pub only 20 minutes away so what could be better!!

Fantastic find

What a brill time here last week Tuesday to Friday 8/8 to 11/8 . Excellent facilities and a very well run organised site good sized pitches so so peaceful excellent walking and exploring from site and lovely cafe for breakfast on doorstep. Nighttime so quiet and our collie Pebble absolutely loved it with the big play area. Definitely going back soon. Paul and Sharron Howarth

A great place to relax

We only stayed for 2 nights but were very impressed with everything about this site, from the extremely efficient and well organised booking system to the beautifully mown and large pitches which were in the sunshine all day long. The wi-fi is free and very good, something we have not usually come across on other CLs. The emails we received from Andy prior to arrival were very helpful and detailed, showing how much thought has been put into making guests' experience as good as possible. Honeywell's Farm Shop, only a mile away, is one of the best stocked farm shops we have come across and the meat was delicious. We had some tasty cakes from Iced Bakes cafe too. Definitely recommend catching the bus to Garstang and walking back to the site along the canal. Thanks to Andy for creating your excellent CL.

Chill Out at Moss Lane.

Great info and directions supplied by the CL prior to arriving. Nice to have EHU and freshwater at your pitch. Pity we couldn’t pipe the grey water into the hedge at the pitch we where at rather than emptying in a communal area. But understand some CLs don’t like this. The best WiFi we have experienced in the 6 years we have been visiting CLs. Used the local bus services to Lancaster and Garstang. Was an offer on at the time. Only £2 for a single journey. Well worth it. Lancaster, one hour on the bus, is full of history and a busy place. Where as Garstang, only 15 mins on the bus, was a more slower pace and had a Thursday street market on. Went to visit the garden centre in Bilsborrow but unfortunately we couldn’t go in as we had dogs. Turners fish and chips was excellent in Bilsborrow well worth it. Tried the full English breaky at the cafe Iced just outside the CL site. Just have to say I didn’t need anything else that day. Very filling. Thanks ladies.

Must agree

Ditto all the previous comments about the site. Communication excellent and the site met our expectations.; Definitely one to revisit if we’re in the area again - thanks, Andy.
