Why stay here ...

Moss Lane Park CL is a modern well-equipped site that provides peace and tranquillity whenever you visit the Fylde countryside. It is situated next to the farmhouse and superb garden, and although it is a working farm there is only sporadic work taking place at present most of the land is used for growing crops.

The site is level with hard standings of 15m x 4m wide, with 16amp electric and water available on each pitch. Free WiFi is provided and the TV signal is excellent with no need for an aerial in most cases. There are modern toilet and shower facilities available in a purpose-built area.

The views to the north and west are of the neighbouring farmland which is occupied by sheep. To the east is a splendid garden maintained by Lisa, to the south a hedge provides privacy from the quiet public road of Moss Lane, which although is narrow in places, has plenty of passing places to enable easy access to the site.

Moss Lane is only 5 miles from Junction 32 of the M6 and 1 mile from the A6 and the village of Bilsborrow, and is ideally placed to explore the tourist attractions of the North West especially the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland and the seaside towns of the Fylde coast.

On the site we are blessed with a café called Iced, which provide tea, coffee cakes and sweets, along with a great choice of bespoke gifts. There is also a great selection of pubs and restaurants, with 3 pubs within 1 mile including the busy Guys & Owd Nells. There are several restaurants within 5 miles covering all tastes including Italian, Indian, Chinese and of course English. There are two takeaways in the two nearest villages of Bilsborrow and Barton.

There is a village shop and post office in Bilsborrow which can supply everyday needs, and a superb farm shop called Honeywell’s, both within 1 mile. The market town of Garstang is only 5 miles away and has a full range of shops including four supermarkets and a street market every Thursday.

Local attractions also include Barton Grange Garden Centre & Flower Bowl which has a cinema, curling ring, tenpin bowling, crazy golf & golf simulators along with two restaurants, Kopper Kettle antiques shop, South Planks Interior Reclamation, 6 golf courses within 8 miles, course fishing, along with lots of others too numerous to mention, information is available on site for all the above and others.

The Preston to Kendal canal is half a mile away and is good for walks along with several public footpaths which can be found on the maps available on site.

We do not charge for any extras and have discounts for longer stays. Well behaved children are welcome, as are dogs on leads whilst on site, and we have a large field for dog exercising.

Availability and bookings can be made online on our website (link above) or by contacting us by phone or email.

Hidden Gem

Moss Lane Park CL
We stayed here on the way back home from Scotland, lovely site very peaceful and great walk along the canal to local eatery. Friendly welcome and good facilities for a CL site, we would recommend and would definitely stay here again. Only found out after leaving that my wife lived less than 5 miles away when she was first born!!

Well designed site

Moss Lane Park CL
The site is easy to get on and off even the lane to it has plenty of pull ins. It’s all clean and well kept, normal to have site owner Andy about to welcome you and help with any problems. Decent size pitches to give privacy. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Hidden Little Treasure

Moss Lane Park CL
2 night stay at Moss Lane Park CL - good access, quiet, peaceful, very well kept, dog friendly, clean toilet and large shower. We have been on a quest for a while to fine one or two perfect weekend get away sites, this little treasure is just 40 minutes away from home and has now been added to our list -Added bonus of a great cafe/cake shop next door which also sells handbags! Unfortunately we did not get to meet the owners as they were away for the weekend but we received clear instruction by email prior to our visit. We did not get to visit Owd Nells which I am told is worth a visit as we were too chilled out at the caravan enjoying the sunshine and countryside. Our stay was too short but we look forward to returning and meeting Andy and Lisa - from The Mancs!

Lovely small quiet site

Moss Lane Park CL
A lovely small quiet site of just about five places. It's surrounded by countryside, with a cafe next door. Andy the owner is very friendly and helpful. The site is an ideal base for visiting Lancaster, Forest of Bowland and other lovely sightseeing places. There is a canal cruise which was five minutes away from the site and also visited Barton Grange which has a large garden centre plus opposite a cinema, bowling alley plus restaurants. If you want cleanliness and peace this site is worth a visit.
