Excellent Site

This is our second visit to the site this year and we find it great. It is in an ideal location for walking into Louth and visiting the surrounding area. The site is beautifully laid out, neatly cut grass, large flat pitches (some hard standing) and a fantastic view. We were at the far end of the site and I agree, with others, that this is the best place to site with a glass of wine and appreciate the view. We had a 25m electric cable and had no problem reaching the electric post. We Would thoroughly recommend Nehal Indian Restaurant. Not cheap, but we had an excellent meal there.

perfect location

We were on the site for 4 nights over the Spring bank Holiday, loved everything about it, level site on well maintained grass, the weather was sunny for the whole weekend. Quiet and peaceful, just the place to wind down and relax. 10 minute walk into the lovely town of Louth. We visited Mabelthorpe, Sutton on Sea, Ingoldmells and Cleethorpes whist there (all within 20 miles). All in all it is the perfect location for a short or longer break. Just one minor complaint ---- if we visit again and we probably will, we will take a longer electric cable so we can go to the far end of the field. Well worth a visit !!

Excellent CL

This is a first class CL. The site is set well back from the main road with excellent views over the local countryside which is gently rolling hillls. The site is a 10 minute walk into Louth which is a real gem of a market town, and is very convenient for motorhomers who don't wish to unhook after pitching. There is an information hut with a host of information concerning local attractions and eateries. Just one final point - a fellow reviewer mentioned the road noise from the Louth By-Pass. Yes, if you strain to listen, you can hear a drone but, as a person who is easily disturbed by road noise, I can honestly say it caused me no irritation whatsoever!

Excellent CL

We have just returned from spending one night at this lovely CL. The views are great, the site is very well looked after and the pitches are flat. The access to Hubbard's Hill is easy, just turn left out of the site and take the footpath across the golf course (or dogs loved it!). It is only a short walk into the town (about 10 minutes) and for those that don't know, Louth is a fantastic market town. It has a good range of restaurants and pubs as well as a market, antique shops and many other places of interest. We would highly recommend this site and will be going back again (hopefully for longer) later in the year.

Quiet and peaceful

A lovely site. Very quiet. Very flat and well looked after. There was no welcome for us when we arrived - I think the owners were out - but we settled ourselves in without any problems. Very clean and tidy facilities. A very easy walk into Louth which is a lovely bustling little place. A great site to stay for a weekend or longer. No complaints what so ever.

We stayed on this site for seven nights early August 2012. The site is a short distance down a wide maintained track passing the owner’s house. The second gate which opens into the CL has a welcome sign attached it. The site is very secluded. The owners Mr & Mrs Garside are exceptionally friendly and welcoming with an information pack containing details about the site and area. They keep the site in near perfect condition which enabled us to walk around the grass in bear feet. There are six electric outlets but if one chooses to pitch at the far end of the CL an extension lead would be needed (which we had). There are no marked out pitches so allowing one to choose their spot on the field (this we liked very much). The views across the Wolds from the site are fantastic. There is a large information hut on the CL full of info, books and magazines. There is slight road noise (not noticeable after an hour) from the Louth by-pass (single carriageway), but we found the noise from the farm tractors working in the surrounding fields much louder; however the road noise does disappear after tea time. Over all we rate this site 8 or 9 out of 10.

My Husband and I have just returned from this site this morning. I must say that we found the site disappointing. The pitches wasn't marked so you had to sit and scratch your head for a while working out just where to put the caravan. There was a lot of traffic noise from the Louth bypass which isn't to far away. However what really spoiled the stay for us was the fact that even though it was an Adult Only site on Saturday there were two children visting one of the caravans one of which was heard crying during the stay. Its not a case of us disliking children we are Grandparents ourselves but surely Adult Only means Adult Only at all times. That said the toilets were spotless and the grounds kept nice and tidy and although we didn't use the pool the other caravaners we met over the weekend did and said how lovely it was.
