Another return visit

When we first had a motor home we came here about four times in a year. Since then we have been far and wide but felt it was time for a return visit. So here we are, back again! An hour from home but could be anywhere. One of the reasons we love this place is the peace and tranquility. We have seen so many insects, butterflies and birds just sitting in the sunshine. There are plenty of places of interest to walk or cycle to. The local pubs have always been good. The Compasses is a half walk up a bridleway from the site. Alderholt Mill do lovely cakes, especially the scones!!! Fordingbridge also has some good hostelries. The Dorset Heavy Horse centre worth a visit especially if you have children. There is plenty of room between units and the hardstandings are adequate for vans and caravans. If you need your awning up just park nearer the grass. They are not brand new but they do the job, I have certainly seen worse if another review has you worried. There are two clean showers (not often you get two at a CL) and two toilets. There is another private field just up the drive which has been useful for the weekends the CL is fully booked and this has not impacted on the CL in any way during our five visits here. The owner provides toilet chemicals pre mixed and suitable for the waste system here, empty yours of chemicals before you come. It has been lovely to return to the well run, tidy site I remembered. I would definitely recommend this place as most of the reviewers do. We forgot how much we loved it and how relaxed we feel after our visit.
