Long Weekend away

This was the second time of staying at this site. Again it was a lovely peaceful break in fact we stayed an extra day rather than rush back to real life. True the noise from the adjacent road was louder than last time but I took this to be because the hedges had been cut and the fact that the main road to upton was closed, even than it was only during the commuter hours. Great site and will return whenever we want a site close to home.

We have stayed at this site both in the summer and winter and found it an excellent location ,even in some extreme weather conditions never had any problems ,site is well maintained and clean toilet facilities both men and women's cleaned every day, there is also a undercover sitting area wefound very useful when having friends visit as we use this site all the time when returning back home for visits, there is a good dog walking field next to 2 very friendly horses belonging to site owner the views are stunning of the beautiful malvern hills, owners Lynn and David are very welcoming and friendly there if you need them but not at all intrusive Lynn visits daily to look after horses, highly recommended this fantastic site .we will be returning again and again ,very close to , Worcestershire ,malvern and all this lovely location has to offer

Great base for access to the Malvern Hills

We stayed at Herberts Field for 4 nights in September 2018. It was pretty wet during our stay, so only the hardstandings were being used, which was fine with us. We don’t have much to add to the other reviews as they really say it all. The paddock area dog walk was welcome as was the security lock for the entrance gate. The site was a bit too far from the Malvern Hills to walk to, so we moved the van to Swinyard car park & walked around & over British Camp & the Herefordshire Beacon. Superb views all round from the highest point. Upton upon Severn is also close by with convenient parking [for a 7.4m long motorhome!] with riverside walks along the River Severn. £14 per night was just about right.

Recent visit to Upton Blues Festival.

Our first time on a CL and we couldn't have picked a better one. Great location for visiting Upton on Severn and 3 Counties showground. Options of hardstanding or grass pitches, we chose hardstanding for our twin axle unit, access was good, and pitch was level. The owner was really friendly and helpful. No road noise at night, woken up by the birds tap dancing on our roof, which was much nicer than an alarm clock. This site seems to attract repeat customers, not surprising as we would certainly return. One fellow caravanner even climbed up to close our skylights when a sudden downpour arrived whilst we were out. Saved us getting back to a wet bed!! Thanks again if you're reading this, we were so grateful.

Wonderfully peaceful site

A lovely quiet and peaceful CL. We have just returned after spending a week here Ease of access is good through a wide gate. Make sure you follow the site directions rather than sat nav. A choice of hard standing or grass pitches. Good level pitches with plenty of space. We had the field to ourselves for most of the week. We went for a grass pitch and was fine as the field is firm and level. Beautiful views and sunsets over the Malvern Hills We watched hot air balloons floating by on a couple of afternoons. Very peaceful and a place to chill out. The dog walk around the fields is a thoughtful touch and this is well maintained. Even poo bags provided if you forget to bring yours! Good clean toilet facility. The elsan disposal area is well looked after as is the recycling area. All in all a great site within easy access of lots of local places of interest. The owner Lynn is very laid back and very friendly. Would definitely return when we are in the area again.

Peace and quiet.

A very nice large cl site, lot's of room between pitches. We pitched on a grass pitch which was nice and level, as were most of the pitches, they have some hard standings but we preferred to be away from the road, although very little traffic used it anyway. We did find the grass a little long and wet on damp mornings. 16amp electric, so no tripping the electric at this site. With the Mavern show just two miles away we found this a great day out. We would certainly stay at this site again.

Long Grass, great views and clean facilities.

Great CL in a lovely location. Owners very friendly and easy going. Plenty of space and separate dog walking area and adjacent paddock with resident pony. Good views of the Malverns and very quiet Occasional low level road noise. Lovely lanes for cycling and plenty of footpaths for walking. Upton-upon-Severn is close by and Clive's Fruit Farm shop just down the road. There also appears to be a winery! We will return BUT the grass was so long! It harboured nasty things that repeatedly bit me! Luckily it was dry on both our visits this year but the grass really needs to be shorter. There are hardstandings but they are not very level. Note to anyone reading this, the price is increasing to £14/night on 1 Sept 17 - still exceptional value for money.

Overnight stop

Booked by phone in the morning only for one night as we were only passing through. Easy to find, easy of access and all facilities to Han. Pitches fairly level and gravelled. Quiet at night. Owner friendly. Booked again for later next month and will definitely repeat. Separate field for dogs and plenty of footpaths nearby. Good pub close by.

easy access site

Follow the directions given as there is a narrow bridge if you use the sat nav. Arrived on site, easy concrete drive up to locked gates. Rang the site owner who gave me a combination for the lock. Gravelled pitch close to toilet and water. The field is large and plenty of room to walk the dog. Helpful owner arrived later for payment etc . We attended the Upton Blues Festival which is 5 mins by car very good site i would recommend it.

Just lovely

Just home after spending 4 nights at this lovely CL, the weather was very wet and windy, yet our pitch was never waterlogged, We walked around the dog walk many times, surrounding the two wild flower meadows with an amazing selection of flowering plants, the dog walk was not over wet either, the grass had been cut and clippings collected, there was a choice of pitches with plenty of room where ever you decide to pitch up. Upton is a lovely area and there are lots of towns or places' sto visit, we travelled around the Malverns, and collected water from the spring, had Fish and Chips on the common land outside Barnards Green, excellent would definitely use again.
