Fantastic

What a find........fantastic site, can't find a bad thing to say about it or the owners. Loo's clean & plenty of paper, if you have forgotten something there is a box with various toiletries in & hung up under barn hook up cables dog leads & other things for you to borrow. what a lovely thought by the owners. Highly recomended

Perfect for relaxing

Absolutely loved this sight. Loads of room to pitch. Nice and quiet. lovely to have so many drinking and waste water point. The toilet has some great little touches to it and there are books and magazines to borrow. David and Lynne were very friendly. The pitches are nice and level and you can take your pick of hard standing or grass. This is one of those sites you don't really want to write a review because you want to keep it all to yourself. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

Still Briliant

We have just returned from a long weekend at this site which coincided with The Upton Blues Festival nearby-yet again it prove to be ideal. This is our third time on the site and the welcome and facilities provided by Lynne and David were first class, nothing was to much bother. Will we be returning yes we will. A good clean site with all you need in a lovely location.

heaven under the hills

what a gem of a c.l very friendly hosts although we didn't meet up with lyn, very clean and tidy, nice spread out pitches, only gripe is the route printed we went on to Hanley Swan and turned beside post office (opposite duckpond) at crossroads turned left site up on left so much easyer than trying to manage the traffic chaos of upton apart from that lovely site we will return

We Will Be Back!!!

We stayed on this CL for a week at the end of September. The owners are extremely friendly and although they don't live on the site, visit a couple of times a day to see to the horse and chat to the people on the CL. The approach to the CL is along a lane - we have a twin axle and found, approaching using the directions (CL on left) that we had take a good swing to get into the entrance. There is plenty of space to pull off the road before going through the key coded gate. The site is level with all the pitches well spaced out - the grass ones at the edge of the field, whilst the hard standing ones are in a circle around a barn. We used one of the hard standing pitches and found it OK for the caravan, aqua roll etc. but the awning ended up partially on the grass (probably my only developmental comment - make the hard standing wider). The barn has a clean toilet and there is a communal area containing a book exchange, information and fresh produce available (donations to Cancer Research). Lovely views of the Malvern Hills and plenty of walking straight out of the site. Dog walk available which is useful for nighttime tinkles (for the dogs that is!!).Star gazing is superb but have a torch handy. Lovely food at The Inn at Welland - not cheap but great for a treat! Overall, this is a lovely CL and we will definitely be back

What a delight!

We're new to Motorhoming/caravanning and are still familiarising ourselves with the 'van so our trips out are pretty close to home and we are avoiding big commercial sites. We stayed here for 2 nights and this CL is a beauty which ticked all our boxes. The site is very spacious with the pitches spread out with lots of options to be on hardstanding or on a grass pitch. We cycled into Upton just a short ride away along very quiet country lanes, past the fruit farm with pick your own on offer and the vineyard - sadly not open at the weekends. Met Lynne and David - lovely people who just want you to feel welcome and enjoy your stay. Nice touch in the loo with handwash and hand cream for your use and in the covered information area/meeting point there were a couple of candles, a book swap, local landmark information and some produce on offer for a donation to Cancer Research. It felt like we were staying over with friends. Great site lovely people - we'll be back!!

Absolutely terrific site but sshhhhhh don't tell everybody!!

We stayed here for a week during the heatwave in July. What a great site. There were 3 caravans on site and we all chose to be on the grass field. It is so spacious that we could all pick our spot. We chose to look out over the Malvern Hills and we spent quite a few evenings enjoying a glass or two of wine as we watched the sun set over the hills, then watched a fox foraging around the neighbouring field and then later in the evening listened and watched 2 Little Owls as they sat on the fence. The covered shelter with table and chairs might have been intended for rainy days but we used it as a shelter when the sun was too hot! Lynn and David were really friendly and obviously take great pleasure in ensuring the Herbert's Field residents enjoy their stay. Midway between Great Malvern and Upton on Severn it is perfectly situated for visits to the many local villages and towns as well as lovely walks both on the Hills and locally near the campsite. We visited the nearby fruit farm and Vineyard and would recommend the produce from both. We will definitely be back. I just hope we can get in again before everyone discovers this gem of a site!

Charming site

What a gem. Stayed for 11 nights (wished it could have been longer)! Very well kept site-facilities immaculate with plenty of water points. Lovely owners who made us very welcome. We were very lucky to have a little owl's nest in the tree behind and had the privilege to see the chick-what a bonus. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We will be back

We don't use CL sites very often but we will definitely come back to this one. It has everything you need (except a shower but that is splitting hairs). Lynne & David were very welcoming and called in twice a day to see to Daisy, the pony, so should you need any help or advice on where to visit etc you can ask them. All in all a lovely weeks stay and thank you to Lynne & David for a lovely site and pleasant people.
