A Decent Adults only CL

If approaching from Upton look out for the "40" mph sign and the Inn at Welland is just on the right hand bend. Turn right here and follow instructions. The site is indicated by 4 posts either side of entrance but the CL sign is not easily seen as it's set back. If coming from Ledbury way carry on towards Upton when in Welland. Look out for Church on the crossroads and the Inn is at the end of the long village. Turn left here. The entrance to the site is wide and through a metal gate. There are up to 11 pitches available, 4 grass, 7 H/S. The H/S pitches are quite close together around the stable block (which houses the toilet) and the Elsan (waist high emptying point) and rubbish bins, including recycling, are to side of this as well. The Grass pitches are at the top and some along the side in a "L" shape. They tend to have more space between the pitches. 2 of them have water tap access behind them. A third can reach a water tap but you'll need a splitter. Some trees provide shade for those at the far end but only in the morning otherwise almost all pitches are in the open. The grass pitches are a typical field, some slight bumps but we found a way to pitch flat. Wifi signal was good and assume TV was as well as we could hear one or two going. Some of the photos shown are now out of date. There is a Horse paddock, containing 3 horses when we were there, some of them the owners, and this is on the left hand side as you enter. This takes up over half of this area. There is sufficient room to let Fido have a first thing or last thing at night stroll behind the Hardstandings. The owners have erected a "Mobile" home for themselves in the top left hand corner and have also pitched their caravan right next to it but seem to have a dwelling nearby as they disappeared for a few days but returned to the horses daily. There were 8 pitches occupied during a weekend but we did find ourselves alone for 1 night in mid week. As we were at the far end and away from everyone it didn't impinge on us. We were however a bit miffed to return one day and find a padlock with a combination lock on it. We hadn't been told by the owners of this and as they had left to go to their house on the Monday we were fortunate that there was 1 other unit on site and the member was able to give us the combination number. All in all a decent place to gain access to several points of interest including the Malvern Hills, Worcester and Upton. The lane outside leads to Upton in about 2 miles but isn't busy. The showground is also within a mile or so. Malvern Hills are less than 10 minutes away in the car.
