This CL has a very pleasant rustic charm about it and has very welcoming and friendly owners, Laraine and Paul. The CL area is enclosed by a fence and has five very generous sized pitches. When we were there Laraine and Paul's own touring caravan was being stored in one corner of the CL area but this wasn't a problem. Whilst there is a very slight slope towards the far end of the site it is nothing to be concerned about. Each pitch has its own water tap and EHU on the fencing separating each pitch. Grey water can be drained away to the edge of the pitch. There is a magnificent view over towards Dartmoor with what I believe to be Haytor Rocks on the horizon almost 10 miles distant. The CL owners have horses which are in the paddock in front of the CL. These are not a problem and, in fact, give some 'entertainment'. Overall the CL is very quiet and peaceful.
If I had to find a fault it would not be with the CL but with the final quarter of a mile down what is essentially a single track lane with passing places. We did meet a vehicle coming towards us when we arrived but with a bit of careful driving got past each other without a problem.
We always assess a CL by asking ourselves whether we would pay a return visit. The simple answer is a very emphatic YES, if it is not fully booked!
