The best CL that we have found on the network.

We have to keep returning because this really is our ideal CL. From the moment you drive onto the site a feeling of tranquility descends. The views are wonderful, the site is beautifully maintained and the welcome from Brian and his wife makes you feel like old friends. We hesitate to write this really as having to share our little bit of heaven is quite hard but Hill Tops deserves a visit. You won't be disappointed. Geoff and Pauline

Lovely site for relaxing..

Our first visit to Hilltops will not be our last! Well kept site with fantastic views. Who would have thought that the Somerset levels had hills! We will be back.

Peace and beauty

This is a very lovely site for a quiet weekend. Views are beautiful. It was very hot when we were there so we were happy to do very little.

Beautiful views from an excellent site

We stayed at Hilltops earlier this year and loved it here. When booking, I was concerned that we'd get stuck on a grass pitch as our tow car is not a 4x4. Brian reassured us that this wouldn't be the case and he was right - the drainage is excellent, especially being at the top of a stone hill! The view from the site over the hills is breathtaking, as is the peacefulness of the site. There is a playground just a couple of fields away, which was a hit with our two young children. Whilst here, we visited Wells and Barrington Court. We only stayed a couple of nights but hope to return as there is so much to do in the area.

Our favourite CL so far

When we arrived Brian was waiting to show us to our pitch. He was very helpful and told us where everything was and where the local pubs/shops were etc. His wife Shelley was also very friendly and always free to chat and answer any questions. The views are absolutely stunning with rolling hills, hedges, farms and wildlife to take in. Every morning we awoke with the lovely sound of birds singing and sheep bleating, a sound weve missed since leaving. We spent 5 days there in May/June and only left the site once, it is so easy to just sit outside and take in all the beauty nature has to offer. We've already booked to return for New Years Eve and may well slip in another visit before to unwind. If you do leave the site there's plenty of lovely walks and bike rides to discover the area. The site itself is immaculate and very well maintained, even the toilet is spotless. We would highly recommend this site to anyone who wants a nice, tranquil stay but still able to visit places within a short drive. When we left both Brian and Shelley were there to say goodbye and wish us well, truly great hosts.

As described in others reviews

There are lots of good reviews on this site, we have recently had a wonderful weeks stay there and will return when we get a chance. The place is immaculate and a credit to the owners. Walking from the site onto a farm lane with our old dog was so easy, and the village of High Ham was pleasant to walk through.

Very peaceful

We had 8 nights here in May, Brian and Shelley were great hosts, very welcoming. And they take pride in their CL, grass kept short and picked up when it’s cut, that’s a big thumbs up for me, nothing worse than tracking grass into the van! My husband had a lovely time looking at all of Brian’s ‘toys’ in his man cave! Hilltops is in an amazing location, the views are incredible, there is Tesco close by in Langport for supplies and a fair few NT properties and gardens within half an hours drive. We would go back? Yes, if we were to visit that area again.

Our favourite CL

We love staying at Hilltops; the views are wonderful and the site is well kept and level. Brian and Shelley always give a warm welcome and engineering enthusiasts will find talking to Brian fascinating. The area is good for walking and cycling and the Nature Reserves of Shapwick Heath and Ham Wall are a short drive away for those who enjoy bird watching . We have stayed at Hilltops many times and in different seasons of the year and it has never disappointed. It really is a lovely place to 'get away from it all'.
