Our Favorite Somerset CL

We have just returned home after spending 7 tranquil nights on this lovely CL. Our second visit and it was just as good as we remembered from our previous stay. The site is beautifully maintained with closely mown grass and one hardstanding. All with mains hook up. The toilet room is kept spotlessly clean. All in all a lovely peaceful site in beautiful Somerset countryside. Highly recommended, we will return. Rob and Gill

Lovely, lovely, lovely

Amazing views, with very friendly and welcoming owners who take a real pride in their site. Immaculate WC. The grass is just like a lawn and kept so neat by Brian. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Perfect CL - Five stars are not enough

Our second recent visit to this tranquil site and what a beautiful spot. The grass is perfectly maintained and there is one hard standing. This site is only a few miles from our home and is perfect for our short (or longer) stays. The views of the countryside and bird life are amazing from every pitch. The welcome is second to none and Bryan's local knowledge is invaluable. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple. There is a spotless single loo combined with small information / book exchange area. It can be a bit breezy because of its location but when the sun shines it is nothing short of perfect.

Amazing tranquility

Just had a one night stay in the crazy May bank holiday weekend. No craziness here, just a lovely welcome from Brian and Shelly then relax and soak in the views from this quiet and immaculately kept site. Loads of space and all the facilities that you would need. We even had a lamb arriving unexpectedly in amongst the sheep in the neighbouring field! Great place!!

Calm, gentle spot

A good welcome from Brian and Shelley. Good views. Surrounded by birds, sheep and lovely countryside above the Levels. The madness of May Bank Holiday just passed by. I was camping on my own and it felt a very safe site and area.

Fantastic Hilltops

Just come back from a lovely long weekend of peace and tranquility at this site. Brain and Shelley are extremely friendly and helpful. The site is 16amp and the gravel hard standing that we used, was perfect. Will definitely be back.

Exceptional CL

This CL is exceptional. The views are out of this world, the grass is top quality, therefore after the storm we had during the night, it didn't change to a mud bath.  The owner, Brian, was there to greet us before we got out of the car and both Brian and Shelly were there to say goodbye.  This made us feel very welcome. The site is spacious, well maintained, and the facilities are spotless. The site is a beautiful part of the country and there are nature reserves around for bird watches etc. The site is in a perfect position for exploring the surrounding area.  We will definitely be returning to this site and would recommend it to anyone. If you want peace and quiet and spectacular views this the place for you.  Our dog Bob made friends with the owners dog, Otis and they had a wonderful time playing and chasing each other

A Top CL

This is an exceptional CL. The welcome and friendly support from the owners could not be better. The site is very well cared for and is big enough to feel spacious even when full. It is off the beaten track though situated to allow access to many attractions. There are great walks to be had in the surrounding countryside. Bird watchers will enjoy the nearby bird sanctuaries on the Levels. There is a tremendous amount of history in the area. We have spent the last 28 days at Hilltops. My only regret is that it could not have been longer.

A Jewel in The Crown

We've just returned from a 14 night stay at Hilltops. A beautifully presented and located site, which is obviously well maintained. Superbly located for exploring Somerset and beyond. Brian and Shelly are two of the best site owners we have come across. Great knowledge of the local area and it's history. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were always happy to stop and chat. Thanks for such a great time.

A fantastic find

We have just paid our first visit to Hilltops and have been delighted with it on every count. The site is superb: maintained to the highest standard and with delightful views; Brian and Shelley are welcoming and helpful; and the facilities are spotless. There is lots to do in the area and we will certainly be back. PatT
