Mixed feelings!

Let's not get this out of perspective, this is a lovely site, well maintained and very handy for Ludlow (20 min walk). However, there are a few aspects that could easily be rectified: 1.  The information says "suitable for Motorhomes", this would be very accurate IF the pitches were more level, a large motorhome would struggle to get level almost anywhere on the site.  Also, and very surprisingly, there is no service point and nowhere to empty grey water!  The owners suggested we needed a bucket to collect the waste water from the Motorhome outlet and take it to the hedgerow - have you ever tried moving over 100litres of water this way, let alone crawling under the motorhome to access the outlet. (No all motorhomes have them at the side of the vehicle).  We were instructed in no uncertain terms NOT to empty the grey water onto the many areas of very long un-cut grass! 2.  The owners, although maintaining a lovely site are both rather brusque, verging on the officious.  My wife refers to me as Victor Meldrew, but by comparison I am a baby.  The welcome did not seem very "welcoming" and it was difficult to prompt a smile of any sort.  No attempt was made to confirm all was well other than a pointed comment about using the driveway to access the main road rather than a wet and muddy footpath at the rear of the site. 3.  £20 a night for a CL which only has pitch, electricity and access to water/chemical disposal point is expensive, especially in September (No toilet or shower)! I note however, others referred to £15 per night.  Obviously the price was increased due to the Ludlow Annual Food Festival - a bit naughty eh? Before anyone makes comment, we have been members of the Caravan Club for well over 30 years having used many Club Sites and CLs in that time. Finally, we had a great time visiting Ludlow and the Food Festival but at £20 per night (even at £15 per night), this is a bit steep.
