I went to the farm house to pay on the second day of our stay I was quoted £17 pitch fee plus £2 extra for motorhome as it was 7 meters long , it only used one pitch space like any other caravan or motorhome so why the extra charge? I was then asked to pay an extra £2 for my tow car when I questioned this and explained that my tow car was actually in the eyes of the law a trailer and no different to a car towing a caravan the lady owner accused me of being argumentative ,needless to say that at this point I decided to cut our 5 day stay short and just paid for the 2 days. So what were we getting for £21 Per Night A sloping pitch grassed over hardstand on a sloping field electric hook up that tripped out 4 times in 2 days usually if you put more than one appliance on at a time. No water taps in the field or any where near meaning motorhomes with on board water tanks have to put away there things ,drive off the levelling blocks unhook electric cable drive to the farm house fill up with water turn around drive back to pitch relevel and hook up . How hard would it be to put water taps close to the pitches or even on every pitch at these prices. The Elsan point is a joke with a metal lid covering a filthy hole with NO Water tap you have to take your toilet cassette into a nearby barn to put water in it then return to the elsan to empty it and repeat the process until the cassette is clean, once again how hard would it be to put a water tap where its meant to be. The site also boasts a drive over motorhome waste disposal point which we could not find on our way out which meant we had to carry our grey waste to the next site ,which by the way was £15 per night all in and much better. So come on owners of this CL site up your game or lower your prices and remove the greedy add ons.
