Very Special Place

Just returned from 11 nights at this fantastic CL. Road to the site is a typical Cornish lane, a little narrow, but not at all busy and we did not meet any oncoming traffic on arrival. Our pitch allocation was displayed on board at entrance to site, through gate and down the track to the pitches, which is a little bumpy so take it steady. Huge pitches, electric and water supply to each, and a border of planting between the pitches. Grey water can be drained into hedge at rear of pitches, own water supply, as near as a fully serviced pitch with calling it that. Owners very friendly and helpful, well kept pitches, neatly mowed, and so peaceful. The weather while we were away was terrible, rained for the first 7 days near non stop, and the grass did become a bit water logged, and the track to the last couple of pitches did suffer, but no more than can be expected with the rain we had. In summary, if you want peace, all services close/on pitch, lovely surroundings, and just to simply relax in a little bit of tranquility then this has to be one of the best. If you are lucky enough to get some good Cornish weather when you stay here, you wont want to leave!... We will certainly be going back....

VERY PEACEFUL

This was our first experience of a C.L. and it was perfect for us. Large pitches, a dog walk and views across the countryside. We will return and we are certainly converts to C.L's.

Lovely

This CL is lovely we spent a very wet Easter here but it did not dampen our spirits or enjoyment would defiantly like to return again and would recommend this site to others. Lovely to have your own water tap on your pitch which is a bonus. Plenty of space on each pitch and you are not on top of your neighbours. Owner is very helpful too.

Lovely peaceful CL

Just got back from this lovely peaceful CL. There are 5 large pitches with hedges in between each pitch. There is an electric hookup at each pitch together with a water point with very good water pressure.  The CL has some young woodland with mown footpaths through it, ideal for walking the dog. Pitches appear to be mown regularly. A thoroughly relaxing experience with the Lost Gardens of Heligan only a short distance away.

Tranquility at its best

This was our first visit to this beautiful CL and won't be our last. Carol and Brian made us very welcome and are extremely friendly people. All pitches have their own dedicated electric hook-up and water supply with the proprietors instructing us to run the grey waste hose into the surrounding bushes and shrubs. The pitches are a good size so will accommodate the largest of Caravans/Motorhomes. Between the pitches there is a border made up of shrubs/bushes. Close by is a lovely scenic pond with a shelter enclosing a bench to sit on and enjoy the view. There is also a further wooden  table/seat if you should choose to take a picnic. There is also a glade/wooded trail on the land which makes for a very pleasant walk, handy if you have a pooch to exercise. Step out of your Caravan/Motorhome and the views are breathtaking, as far as the eye can see. The coast is nearby, which is also very handy, all in all this location has it all, beauty, peace, space, yet at the same time within reach of attractions sort after by the tourist. The Lost Gardens of Heligan is just down the road, so well worth a visit.  This really is a very tranquil and beautiful location to take a break from the rat race and stresses of every day life, highly recommended. The only noise we encountered was that of a Combine Harvester in use in an adjoining field and the occasional playful sound of birds dancing and running around on the roof of the Caravan early morning. Every time I put scraps of food out it was gone the following morning.   Finally, Hubby and I are big animal lovers and we were delighted to meet Brian and Carol's two Clumber Spaniel puppies, Milly and Sammy, who are absolutely adorable. They also have a large Cat, but he remained hidden throughout our stay, (typical Cat)  which is a pity as we have five Kitties of our own. They also have two large Horses and three smaller ones on the property. We made friends with one of the larger horses. If you want peace, fresh air, space and privacy this is the place for you, Kerthua Park is without any doubt a lovely location to get away from it all.

What CL's are all about.

Not sure why the other Reviews give 5* for 'Ease of Arrival' - presumably they didn't meet anything coming the other way on the narrow Cornish lanes as we did! Fun. On arrival there is a large field with well kept, individual, hedged pitching areas with own access to water and electricity - well done. You are in the countryside with views down to the sea. Close to attractions - Mevagissey (not for caravans!), Eden Proj, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey etc and a short drive to the delights of the North coast. Just what CLs should be.

A tranquil break

Just returned from 14 days of bliss. The site is well maintained, each pitch being edged by hedges and private, having electric and water laid on. Easily found (DO NOT USE ORDINARY SAT NAV TO FIND AS WILL GO THROUGH MEVAGISSEY!) Warm welcome and extremely quiet. Our second visit and will not be our last.

STUNNING CL

This was actually our second choice; it won't be next time. This is a really nice CL and is exactly as previous reviewers have said. We received a lovely welcome from the hosts, who regularly checked that everything was ok. Very highly recommended.

Just what you want from this great CL

We stayed at this site mid June 2013 and found it exceptional for a CL. Fantastic views and great individual pitches with water and hookup. Lovely dog walks on and near the site- I was disappointed not to have bought our dog to Cornwall which was very dog-friendly! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others 10/10!! Lovely CL
