Very pleasant one night stay

Just there for one night after a visit to Avebury and Marlborough Downs. It had everything we wanted including a particularly nice pub and restaurant. We were in the field, close to the pub but there was no disturbance, the outlook across the field was nice with the downs in the background. The meal was first rate - maybe a bit on the pricy side but we felt it was worth it. Only slight negative were the toilets but they were functional and certainly wouldn't put us off going again.

Welcoming and friendly site.

Just had 3 nights here as part of a southern tour, the site was a fantastic base, settled in the beautiful village of All Cannings, finding it is a little bit of a challenge but once there it is worth it, practically, it has a level field, with all the required amenities but what makes it fab are the staff in the pub, they are all so friendly, had a real laugh and felt like a local instantly. Loved it we will be back when we head down south again, Thank you for your hospitality - The Walker tribe :)

Now with some hard standing pitches

Just stayed at The Kings Arms again. The site is listed as seasonal...but I was attending the open day at The Long Barrow, so called up to find there is now some gravel hardstanding, so a December visit in a 3.5t motorhome was no problem. Excellent news! And my 25m cable could reach the hook-up. The food in the pub is superb too. The site is in the Vale of Pewsey and is close to the Kennet and Avon Canal, and towpath.

A warm welcome from The Kings Arms.

We arrived to a warm welcome from Brian at the end of September. It was so easy to set up in the field behind this lovely pub. We enjoyed 2 nights here, but can't wait to return. Great walks along the towpaths, and a recently constructed longbarrow burial ground to study. Our trip into Devizes was well worth it. We enjoyed some well kept Wadworths ales and Old Rosie cider in the friendly bar. We ate at the pub on our 2nd night - outstanding food. Many thanks for a great time!

Just what we were looking for

We only stayed for 2nights, at the end of Sept, but will definitely be returning. Owner was away but Brian was in charge and gave us a lovely welcome. Big field so lots of choice about where to pitch. Beautiful walk through the village and along the canal and close to lots of other places to visit too. The pub is gorgeous and very friendly. We ate there on the 2nd night and the food and service were faultless. We want to return to this area again anyway to explore a bit more so will definitely choose this site.

Extremely friendly staff and really welcoming. 10 mins walk and youre on the canal..and 10 mins drive to Caen Locks which is a great walk. Nice big field..Park where you want. We ate at the pub and the food and service was lovely.

Disappointed!

Had a lovely afternoon at this CL, beautiful walk along the canal and a fab evening meal in the pub. Unfortunately once it got to about 11pm the loud music and singing started and didn't end until just past 3am!!! Yes this is a tranquil place for sure but not if the pub is hosting a party! There is a marquee too which is even closer to the camping area so if this was being used too it would be worse. We didn't book until the day before and would have appreciated some warning about the noise level as the tranquility, which is certainly in abundance here, was what we were looking forward to! Fab week night CL for sure.

A gem of a place

If you are looking for a quiet rural site with great walks, and good beer then this is the place for you. The landlord and his team are really friendly and helpful, and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The pub is family and dog friendly and we found the food to be good. A community shop is within a 5 minute walk and is well stocked. All in all a very nice place to stay, we will be back.

Lovely rural site

This is a lovely, simple site at the rear of an excellent pub. All Cannings is a lovely village out in the Vale of Pewsey giving easy access to the Kennet and Avon Canal and DeviZes. We'll come again.
