Another lovely Farm CL

Stayed here two nights nice meadow . We stayed in our Motorhome on one of the two hardstandings . We cycled into the town . Beware of cycling on the A346 into town it's not much fun . Nice well kept farm site . We would recommend.

Overnight stay

Only stayed for 1 night (en route elsewhere) so can't comment on local places. Site is level with 2 hardstanding pitches. Grass neatly mown. Site has nice open feel, plenty of space between outfits. Only a few hundred yards off main road but very quiet and peaceful. Would happily stay again.

Peaceful retreat

We visited for 2 nights and found the site to be very peaceful, apart from a cuckoo who did insist on prolonged outbursts of cooing at 4.30 in the morning. We had a grass pitch and could choose to site ourselves anywhere in the field. There are electric hook ups and water available, at £7.00 a night with no electricity or £12 a night with hook up we thought it was great value. The farm dogs were friendly and our little dog had a great time exploring all the new smells, including the chickens which wander freely around the farmyard. A short walk down the drive and across the main road takes you into Savernake Forest with miles of pathways to discover, we enjoyed the birdsong as we wandered along. We also enjoyed watching a group of red kites soaring above the site and the microlights flying into Clench Common. A very relaxing weekend and well recommended site.

Perfect for a chilled out weekend.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It's so peaceful and quiet. There's two hardstandings and a large grass area. There are waste bins for your rubbish, EHU and waste water facilities. We loved all the wildlife we saw here, rabbits, pheasants, kites, squirrels, along with the farm ducks and chickens. There's two farm dogs who meander around and are friendly. The older dog is a bit of a woofer,(doing his job!) but a good scratch in the head from my husband, was very welcomed by him. We didn't see the owners, but you can leave your payment in an envelope and pop it into the post box on the noticeboard. (bring your own envelope!) We nipped into Marlborough for a wander around had a coffee and a beautiful homemade florentine biscuit in The Food Gallery. If you fancy something savoury, we can recommend dropping into Padfields Porkies, pork baps and a cuppa - really good. We had planned to go for a walk in the Savernake forest which isn't far from the site, but due to us having a complete, well needed chill out, we ran out of time! We will return here, as it's not far from where we live and it is definitely on our list for a another stay.

What a gem!

A lovely CL with everything you could want for a peaceful & relaxing break. The field is flat with short grass. Plenty of space & fab views. We took our dog for some lovely walks across the farm land. We will definitely be back.

What more could you want

We have just spent 4 nights at Kingstones farm . It was a very pleasent stay we had a friendly welcome and could park up where we wished. We have a dog and could wander around farm land no problem. I would recommend visiting this site if you like peace and quiet. We will return.

nothings changed - not even the price

I had to stay here again this year (august 2014). At £30/week or £5 a night its hard to imagine better value. The lack of facilities makes it quiet, but that suits me. Great dog walks and very good vehicler access. Cant wait to go back. Grass kept short and no silly rules that some sites appear to dream up. Great weather helped, but I would enjoy it here in the rain!

Great for avebury (a free local stonehenge)

What a great CL, plenty of space, quiet and very family friendly, very oriented to REAL camping as no EHU, and only £5 per night. Easy access for my RV and towcar. We have two older children and a dog who are always made welcome and love the animals and great scenery as we drive through the farmyard. plenty of dog walks, but need to be on a lead. The owners are also very nice. From M4 head past Marlborough and turn right a few hunderud yards after red phone box. on small lane, bear left at the fork, then follow the caravan club signs. Plenty of villages, stone circles and country house all easily accessible. Only £30 per week! Great.

Relaxing weekend

We've just returned from a very relaxing weekend at this site. The site is easy to find and well signposted as you drive through the farm yard. Loads of space to pitch, and plenty of room for kids to play. Owner very pleasant and happy that we stopped over on the sunday till mid afternoon to enjoy the sunshine. Well definitely return!!

Kingstones Farm

This is a great CL, plenty of space, quiet and very family friendly. We have two young children and a dog who are always made welcome and love seeing the animals as we drive through the farmyard. The owners are also very helpful. It is ideally situated with Savernake Forest, the Kent and Avon Canal, Marlborough and plenty of villages all easily accessible. This is a firm favourite with us (we've been twice in the last month) and we look forward to many more visits.
