Why stay here ...

We are a working arable farm situated 2 miles from the lovely market town of Marlborough. Kingstones Farm is opposite the ancient Savernake Forest with direct walking access into the forest direct from the end of the farm drive. Savernake Forest is known for it's ancient oak trees (was a hunting forest for Henry VIII) perfect for walkers and nature lovers.

Kingstones Farm has run a CL site on the farm for over 45 years and guests return year after year to enjoy the secluded, quiet and peaceful location with farm walks, beautiful views, amazing sunsets and plenty of wildlife.

From our dog-friendly site there are plenty of interesting things to do and explore with the Pewsey Vale, Marten's Hill and the Kennet & Avon Canal nearby. The Ridgeway and Marlborough Downs are just a short drive away with Avebury, Silbury Hill and the West Kennet Long Barrow within half an hours drive. Stonehenge is under an hour away by car and the City of Bath is an easy one hour drive.

Beautiful

Kingstones Farm
Just returned from a week at this fabulous site. Although it is on a working farm we find the venue very peacful and quiet. Plenty of space, two hardstandings and an immaculate grass area. Walking distance from the Savernake Forest. A short drive to Marlborough and Salisbury plain. A must visit is to Avebury. Many thanks to Jus and Roger.

Terrific site

Kingstones Farm
The only problem i has with this site was that we'd only booked one night as a stopover, we would loved to have stayed longer. It's a lovely well kept site on a working farm. Very peaceful and just across the road from great forest walks. Nice views from the site. A couple of miles from Marlborough so if you're in a motorhome you need to have your stuff with you (food etc).

An immaculate example of a CL. Beautifully maintained and excellent communication before arrival. Helpful info board at the entrance. Lovely walks from the site. Peaceful and delightful location. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Just what you need from a CL

Kingstones Farm
Communication was good and clear from the start, good directions and easy to follow on arrival. We never actually spoke to the owners and you pop your money in a box at the entry to the CL. We loved staying on the farm (the farmhouse itself is beautiful) and watching the swallows or swifts busily flying in and out of the barns when we had a little wander. You're spoilt for choice on where to pitch as there isn't a bad spot there, all with lovely views. Peaceful yet interesting with the farm vehicles being busy. Easy access onto the farm from a good road. 5 mins drive to Marlborough, easy to get to Avebury, Silbury Hill, The Sanctuary etc. We were only here 2 nights and if we are travelling a long way west again won't hesitate to stay here again. NB.There are walks from the site but not to a village or pub etc.
