If all CL's were this good

We had not been to this site for over 20 years, the site is still great, and the pitch sizes are enormous, a nice touch also was the picnic benches on all pitches, the sun came out and Mrs Peers offered us a parasol. This is real Kent countryside, with sheep lambs nearby and birdsong on site. Great

First visit

Nice quiet site, good to watch the horse with her foal in the field every morning. Mrs Peers very informative and helpful. The shower and toilet could have been a lot cleaner. Used the domestic washing machine and did a couple of cycles without any problems and then put two small fleece type throws in and two towels, which seemed to cause a problem. Mrs Peers very kindly took them to her house and spun them for me, and dried them on her washing line. But I was made to feel like a 12 year old who had never used a washing machine before and was told that I had over loaded it, and then a sign was put on the machine that said we were not to use it and to see her. I am sorry if this caused a problem.

Carlsberg Site!

If Carlsberg did CL's this would be it. Probably the best CL in the world! Beautiful site with tons of room and well laid out. Owner is a wonderfully welcoming lady who runs the site marvellously well and she can be extremely proud of it! Lovely location within easy reach of loads of places and things to do. A must to revisit, sooner rather than later.

Keep this quiet...............

Previous reviews will be a hard act to follow! We stayed for 3 nights and were sorry to move to a CC site near Bearstead for our journey home.(Chalk and Cheese come to mind). There is plenty of room on the site. The welcome was warm and friendly. The pitch ideal. The location is excellent for exploring this part of Kent (Canterbury, Ramsgate Tunnels, Sissinghurst etc..) Facilities are simple and clean. Just what you would expect from a well run CL. Dog walking from the site is ideal. All was peace and quiet. Thanks for the excellent stay. This is how Mootorhoming should be.

Perfection in Kent

What can I say, this was a perfect site for us and our 2 collies.  Pitches are spacious, grey water into the trees please (how camping should be!!!) and so, so peaceful.  Just across the road a bridleway goes directly into ancient woodland, brilliant for early morning and late evening walkies. Many beautiful walks along the North Downs Way and others through quaint villages and fields. A short drive to Canterbury, £3 for park and ride and within a few minutes we were in the |City.  Mrs Peers welcome was one of the best we have ever had.  Hopefully will be back soon.

Among the best!

Surely one of the best CLs around. Peaceful and quiet - Beautifully sheltered by a variety of attractive trees - clearly defined and spacious pitches with shrubbery and wooded dividers - good hard standing if you want it - level lawned field well mown and maintained - shower and toilet block if you want it - welcoming and very organised owner - good walking adjacent - near channel tunnel and Dover ferries - don't know why I'm letting the secret out really!

Charming CL in heart of kent countryside...with working shower...

We stayed at this CL in July 2014. Mrs Peers gave us a lovely friendly welcome. The  hardstanding  pitches are situated in a large field and are well spaced between trees. Very pretty. The water is easily accessible and the chemical disposal easy to use.  There is also a toilet and shower on site which are clean and  in good working order.  You are given an old 50p to work the shower which gives you nice long hot shower.  The Cat Sanctuary next door had an open day, which we visited. Despite typical 'british summer weather'...... there were lots of stalls selling Home made cakes, jam etc. I even held an owl ! Mrs Peers daughter Sophie sang for us all.  This CL is definitely on our list to stay again next year.

Peace and tranquillity but no shower!

We stayed for two nights on this lovely CL in late April 2014. The site is lovely, roomy, loads of space  between pitches, choice of grass or hard standing.A peaceful   little oasis. The approach lanes a quite narrow and a bit scary with the caravan on, given the speed the locals seem to drive! Mrs Peers is very friendly and helpful. Lots of interesting things to do in this beautiful area. BUT, the shower was unavailable/ unusable when we were on the site and this was not made known to us when we booked. Which I think was a bit naughty. To be honest we would have chosen a CL a bit closer to our relatives, as there is plenty of choice of CLs without showers in the area. We like to make informed choices. Tip for Mrs Peers.. Get e mail then you can easily let all your booked customers know if there is a problem like this!

Wonderful site and owner!

I can only endorse all that has already been written. Mrs Peers clearly enjoys her visitors and is happy to offer suggestions and information regarding places to visit. A very well kept, pretty site with many facilities.
