Excellent site

Stayed five nights, lots of hook ups so vans are well spaced out. Welcoming reception from Tim and Catherine plus they took the time to say goodbye. Site is surrounded by fields and has two good pubs that can be easily walked to, 5mins to one and 10mins to the other. Also 10mins walk in the Totton direction is a good fish and chip shop and restaurant. There are two WC's and sink with plenty of hot water and a washing machine if required, all in a brick building with auto lights. I recommend this site and will be returning. Reg and Carol

Great CL.

Meadow Bank Farm is a lovely cl and Tim and Catherine are such friendly and helpful owners. The two toilets are spotlessly clean there are also washing facilities. Tim has mown a path all around the outside of the camping field and in the far corner under an oak tree there is a table and two chairs, what a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning to this site.

A good find

I have listed this a site to return to. The New owners Tim and Katherine have big plans for the site and I cannot wait to see them all in action. Meadow Bank is a quiet and spacious place with washing and toilet facilities available. There is a pub just up the road, always good to have. Well worth a planned visit.

Wonderful Hosts great find

Tim and Katherine are working hard to restore this site and are a long way along to turn this from a very good CL to a great CL Currently there is a great field with loads of room and power connections facilities are very clean with toilet and dish and clothes washing with hot water and a washing machine. Tim informed me he has plans for further improvements and is looking to be open all year including security improvements for his guests. The local pub about 400 yards away serves good pub fayre at reasonable prices, it is a easy drive for many places of interest within the Forest and only Burley caused us problems with parking our camper. Happy to recommend this site.

Developing.

We wanted somewhere near to Southampton after having a few days on the Isle of Wight and Meadowbank Farm sounded great. We arrived to find Tim mowing the grass on a large site, he soon had us sited, informed and then introduced Katherine his wife. The site is a little difficult to find from the direction in the book but its second left past the small car dealership off the A336. They have only been there since May but have great plans for the place. 2 toilets, washing up sink, and at least 8 hooks ups so you can site the vehicle where you want. The field is very big and about a third of it used for vans etc. Tim has mowed a path round the edge to allow a good dog walk and access to other fields and you can walk for miles. Morrisons about a mile away for cheap petrol (when the car does 20mpg thats important!) and the New Forest is on the doorstep. Bucklers Hard is well worth a visit but we drew the line at £24 a ticket to look at Clarksons mob. Thats 4 nights caravanning! The weather was poor whilst there but still very enjoyable.Great site, lovely people well worth a visit for a base for the New Forest.

Friendly New Owners

Just returned from a great bank holiday weekend at Meadow Bank Farm. We have stayed here several times in the past but the new owners are significantly improving the site, and were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning again.

Great Find

We have just returned from a relaxing stay on this CL. The new owners are very friendly and Tim even did some running repairs for us which involved the use of a step ladder which we had failed to bring with us! The loos were the best we've experienced on a CL and we loved the freedom we were given to choose where to park. Will certainly return.

Great time in the New Forest

We had a lovely break exploring the New Forest from this convenient site. Owners were welcoming and friendly and the toilet facilities were excellent. Would be happy to return in the future.

first campsite we used, and what a welcome.

This was the first time we used a CL site and we were extremely!!! we were impressed by the cleanliness, tim the owner was very kind when we needed assistance with our campervan breaking down on site. the little ammenities that were there ( wash up , toilets, freezer and the use of a washing machine if needed plus an oven - can you believe) were all clean and well maintained. we look forward to going there again seeing as it was only a 20 minute drive from our house, so very very conveinient and would reccomend to anyone- cheers tim and catherine :-) richard, gemma and little oliver thompson

What a breath of fresh air

This site was booked for us by a friend, arrival was perfect, nice level field with plenty of electric hook ups, two fresh water points and a good CDP. The owners are so enthusiastic and helpful with nothing too much trouble, just what you need from a CL. Until you look deeper and realise what you are actually getting for you very reasonable £14 per night. Not only is the above available but also two very clean toilets, a washing up area with tumble dryer and washing machine, the use of an oven for cooking, a freezer for your freezer packs and an outside patio area with washing line, all of which are immaculately clean. Tim & Catherine have only just taken on this CL and do have some interesting and good ideas, they have plenty of space for 5 vans without overcrowding. I wish you both well and will definitely be back Fred & Andrea
