Restful weekend
We arrived for the weekend to be greeted by Alan who was friendly and welcoming, he gave us lots of useful information about local walks, places to eat and visit. The site is peaceful and although there is a fairly busy road nearby it did not disturb us at all. It was very quiet at night.
We took a circular walk along the Heart of England Way and the Monarch’s Way that can be accessed from the site it amounted to just under 8 miles. The walk took in beautiful scenery and passed by Hidcote Manor so we called in for a cup of coffee and a slice of delicious cake. It is possible to use the cafe in the small garden centre without having to pay the entrance fee to visit the Manor House.
The facilities on site are good with easy access to drinking water. There is plenty of room to exercise a dog should you have one and the chickens are amusing to watch. There is a safe and easy walk into Lower Quinton where you will find a shop and a fish and chip shop/Chinese take away.
We would definitely make a return visit. Thank you Alan and Angela.
