Quiet & peaceful

Perfect location for our brief visit to Stratford to see our son in early August. Made immediately welcome by Angela on arrival and offered several choices of pitch, all with very pleasant views of surrounding countryside and Meon Hill.  Quiet and peaceful site with plenty of space.  Would thoroughly recommend, particularly for anyone needing some quality time out.  Hope to return in the not-too-distant future and try out the walks - weather permitting!

Best site I have been to.

Have just returned from 8 glorious days at Meon View C.L. This was our second visit to this site and after a very friendly welcome from Alan and Angela we basically picked our own pitch and settled in. The 1 acre C.L offers ample room but with the addition of a further 3 acres of well cut grass you feel that you can stretch out. We found this site ideal for touring the main Cotswold villages as well as Stratford upon Avon. This is undoubtedly the best site we have ever visited and look forward to returning later on in the year. Thank you Alan and Angela for making us so welcome.

A most welcoming site

This was our first time on this site and probably not our last. We found it spacious, relaxed and friendly. The owner is not in 'your face', but is available when you want him. My only slight fault is the width of the conifers on entering the field. The entrance takes you by surprise and you cannot get a good swing to miss the trees, even with a small van. On leaving you are aware of this and make allowances. I would suggest the owner cuts back a bit as it will not affect the beauty of the site or the tranquillity. A good little site.

Great site to visit

Meon view is a lovely site to visit. Extremely well kept by the owners, who are both very friendly and helpful. The site is level and well mowed, the view of Meon Hill makes it wonderful just go sit and relax and enjoy the lovely countryside. Pleasant walks around. Stratford on Avon within a short distance and well worth a visit. A short journey up the road to lower quinton is the County Arms, a pleasant restaurant  with decent food at reasonable prices. Will certainly visit again when in the area

What a site

Stayed at Meon View for the first time last week on our way up to the Peak District. After a warm welcome by the owner we were shown to our pitch and could not believe the size of the site. Over 3 acres of well kept lawn and immaculately presented this is a site that I would highly recommend. There is slight traffic noise but this is not to intrusive. Well situated for local places of interest so we managed to visit quite a few castles and attractions in our 2 days on site. Will definately stay here again next time we head north.

Nice Site

Our stay at this site was very pleasant. The owners are friendly and helpful, the site is well maintained and the pitches are a good size. There is a board at the entrance to let you know which pitch to use if the owners are not around. The local Farm Shop is excellent. Waitrose is about 10 minutes away by car, you can use their car park (pay & display) and then its only a short walk into Stratford. We would be happy to recommend this site. One thing we didn't notice untill we had arrived was that ground sheets are not allowed, this wasn't a problem as the weather was dry for our stay.

Spacious site - great views

We booked this as a stop-over from Yorkshire to Dorset and wished we'd planned to stay more than one night.  Lovely, quiet site, with great views of Meon Hill.  Very friendly owner who keeps the site neat and tidy.  We walked to the nearest pub in Lower Quinton (about a mile) which was also very friendly and had great beer.  A traffic-free cycle route into Stratford (approx. 7 miles each way) opens in early August which will further enhance the merits of this lovely CL.  Highly recommend it.

What a view

A lovely quiet site with beautiful views towards Meon Hill, lots of walks available from site.  Worth a visit to the Lower Clopton Farm shop - nice stroll from the CL.
