Gem of a site

The site was easy to find my only criticisim and its not really of the site is the narrow approach road in (but it is short). We received a very warm welcome. The site is clean and well maintained. Waste managment structure is very good. We had no issues with TV or internet signal but we do have a TV booster and also a mobile internet connection box. The church\shop 5 mins down the lane is a must and also a Pub was due to open the week after we left which would also be within walking distance. The secenery is just beautiful. Throughly recommend this site.

Hard to find a fault with this CL

As the title says it is very, very hard to find anything which might remotely be construed as a fault. I have read the reviews and most of the information extolling the virtues of this CL are mentioned. Nobody had any "Cons". We found 1, possibly 2, but there isn't anything the owner could do to alleviate either. The Water, supplied on each pitch, has a high pressure and played havoc with our Truma Ultraflow direct feed to the caravan. It couldn't seem to cope no matter how much we turned the flow down (the system kept emitting a high pitch squeal) so we resorted to Plan B. Fetch it and carry it. I noticed that other members using the Float system had no trouble at all. Due to the slope of the land any awning would "fall" away from you if erecting one. We didn't, hence the "possibly 2" mentioned above. To be fair the pitches themselves are remarkably flat considering the slope of the underlying land. You may find the mobile phone signal a bit hit and miss as we did and noticed most other site members having to resort to standing outside their units to talk on them. Next door didn't seem to have any trouble with their TV signal. There is provision for water filling for Motorhomes at the top of the site. The Elsan and rubbish bins are contained in a neat and tidy area at the top. Elsan is a waste high toilet, well laid out. In reality I am nit picking. The CL is one of the best we have stayed on. The owners some of the friendliest we have met. The walks to Croft Castle are easy and no car required. The shop is a 10 minute walk to the church where it is found. Leominster is about 5 miles away for main supermarkets. We will certainly be trying to stay here again if in the area and I would exhort anyone else to do so as well. The site doesn't "suffer" from normal farm noises or smells as this is now a small ancillary part of the business and the Cl is set above the owners house and farm area, backing onto the village road, which is mainly quiet and there is a hedge that screens it off. The owners have other businesses which do not impinge on the CL.

Another CL raising the standard

Just completed our second stay here this year. A well thought out CL with fully serviced pitches on hard standings. Linda welcomed us on both stays and ensured we had everything we needed. Lovely views across the valley with their home below. We have enjoyed food at the village pub, The Bell, and a nice walk to Croft Castle nearby. Plenty to see in the area. Second visit to Ludlow and this time we joined the town walking tour which was very informative and took us to places we would never had found. We will return again.

Excellent CL

Stayed here for four nights recently and it's excellent. The site has lovely views over the farm in the valley below and to the surrounding countryside. The facilities are very good and it's great to have a CL with a drive over grey waste drain for motor homers. The walk to the village pub is just a few minutes and a couple of minutes further on is the community shop in the church. I didn't expect to be able to buy a daily paper and bottle of wine in the church! The two nearest NT properties are a short drive away and are within cycling distance if you have two wheels with you. Linda and Rupert were away when we arrived but had given us all the info we required and we had a friendly greeting on their return.

Best CL we’ve visited

We are currently staying on this site. The welcome and support we’ve received from the owners Linda and Rupert is second to none. From an electrical teething problem with our new van to running out of gas, they have gone above and beyond to resolve our issues. The site is quiet, spotlessly clean and has fully serviced pitches, all kept to a very high standard. Even the rubbish bins are large, ample and kept scrupulously clean. The village itself is charming-a short stroll from site takes you down to the local pub and the community shop. Everyone is so friendly. We really feel welcome. Can’t recommend this site highly enough. Best we’ve ever visited!

Brilliant Site

This is such a good site, that I almost don't want to review it, in case it gets too busy!!! It has everything we want from a CL. Don't need showers or a toilet, but having water, electricity and waste on each pitch is fantastic. The pitches are good sized, and hardstanding, with great views over the valley. Linda Middleton is a great host, and looks after her visitors really well. The village of Yarpole is just lovely, with a great community shop, and a community owned pub, where the food is excellent. I think its fair to say, we will be back - if we can get in!!!

Excellent CL

We stayed at Middleton Farm during mid-July when the weather was good. We found the site to be as good as others report and all the facilities were excellent, although I felt I’d have liked more space between ourselves and the neighbouring units as is customary on other CLs. Units are as close together as is often found on main Club sites. No problems with access and a pleasant welcome from the owner. The site enjoys elevated views across buildings and farmland containing wonderful mature trees. A great view. The village community facilities found in the church were also good and interesting. We enjoyed visiting Ludlow and its castle and environs. We’d happily return.

Superb site

What a lovely site. Super friendly owners and fully serviced pitches with great views. Immaculately kept, right down to using a sit on lawn mower with a grass collector, so you don’t constantly walk horrible dead grass into your caravan forever more. Highly recommended.

A Really Special CL

Stayed for a week 16th May 2021 on this lovely CL.

I have to say it was one of the very best we have visited, immaculately kept, water and waste water points to each pitch with nice views across the valley and working farm.

Hardstanding pitches very level.

Farm completely unobtrusive and no noise at all that we heard - that is apart from birds and the lambs calling for their mums in the distance.

The village is lovely, with friendly people. Linda was most welcoming and helpful and provided an information sheet on arrival.

Weather appalling for much of our week sadly, so spoiled what is a wonderful area for visiting and walking, but that didn't detract from a really, really lovely site.

Highly recommended.

Outstanding CL

Stayed for 2 nights from Sun 25th April in beautiful spring sunshine. By far the best CL we have visited so far. Easy access in a quiet scenic village. Pub looked nice although we didn't get time to try it. All the facilities were in great working condition and nearly new. Pitches were level, well spaced and with great views. Electricity, drinking water and grey waste to each of the 5 pitches. The chemical disposal point was perfect and we used the drive over grey waste facility on departure. Lovely walks up to and around Bircher common. Friendly welcome. CL's rarely get better than this. We will be back.
