Excellent

Well what is there more to like ... lovely sight, nice view, there’s Paul the friendly owner who will go out of his way for you, there is your own large plot for your caravan, your own water, your own waste water, your own toilet point, your own recycling and waste bins, and all in a great location to visit nearby Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Exeter, and easy to get to Lyme Regis, Teignmouth, Torquay, Dartmouth and beyond. We were there in July and have booked to return in September. I didn’t want to give out a review In case it helps the site get booked up for when I want to come again - but I’ve relented as I think Paul deserves his success. We’re just hoping the sunflowers are out on our return as they were just not ready when we were there. John & Shirley Kelsall - stayed July 2019

Perfect, but probably just this once

The previous review all make mention of the excellent pitches and facilities at this site, and it's true. The pitches are deep enough for the longest combination and wide enough to fit your caravan and awning on the hardstanding. They include Water, drainage, Electric points and your very own Dustbin and Recycling bin. In addition, and a new one for me, was your very own Elsan, accessed by lifting the grid to empty straight into the sewer with a hoselock and pipe to attach to the water point for swilling. The pitches are also very well spaced apart and look out onto a tranquil bucolic view with sheep and heifers in the enclosure in front. It's an adults only site and no dogs allowed, which will appeal to some and not to others. The site is set back from the road slightly and access is good and well marked. The road is not that busy especially at night. It also far enough away from the main Exeter to Sidmouth road as to make road noise almost non existent. We stayed for a week and travelled no more than 8 miles in any direction to reach those places we wished to visit. So, why the proviso? There are a couple of small minuses. One which wouldn't stop us coming back but the other would. The first is the hardness of the pitch to hammer awning pegs in. We ended up with several bent ones. But now that we know about it, it wouldn't be a problem. Another slight problem might occur for long Motorhomes as turning into a pitch without encroaching on the grass could be difficult. The main sticking point is price. We paid £20 per night for a site which didn't have either a Toilet and/or a Shower. This is beyond what we would normally pay or wish to pay for such facilities. I knew the amount before i went and have no problem with it this time as it was over Easter and provided me with the best possible place to be on an adults only site at a time of school holidays. Nothing against children just against the damage I have suffered to my caravan and car in the past by their actions. One small point to make is that next to the site are 3 letting detached houses of a modern design. Lovely to look at and the CL is accessed by passing by these houses. However these lets do allow children but it seems that the owner (a very engaging person) probably asks them not to encroach on the CL as none did over the Easter period. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and pushed the boat out price wise but, having just left a very similar set up which did provide a WC and Shower but cost £15 per night, feel we wouldn't again. Nothing to prevent giving it 5* though.

Wet and Windy

First time caravanners survived Storm Callum on this great little site. We were very impressed with the size of and ‘super-pitch’ facilities. A warm welcome by the owner in the heavy rain. We have already booked to return.

An Immaculately Kept Perfect C/L

We have just returned from a most enjoyable 10 night stay at Moor View C/L. The site is very quite and peaceful, set well back from the road overlooking open fields and woodland. The pitches are all gravel, very spacious with plenty of room. Each is fully serviced with its own tap, drain and Elson point, plus waste/recycling bins. Paul is the perfect host, very warm and welcoming. In our opinion Moor View is the perfect C/L site, maintained to the very highest of standards. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site and we look forward to returning.

Fabulous stay

We have just returned from a two week stay at Moor View, and the site could not be faulted one little bit. It is immaculately kept by Paul. Each pitch is fully serviced so my husband thought it was wonderful not having to keep topping up the water barrels! The pitches are gravelled and extremely spacious with a side lawned grass area to one side. Paul is very helpful and very welcoming, with a wealth of local knowledge on where to visit. The area itself was in easy reach of the M5, Sidmouth, Exmouth, and many other quaint little villages. We experienced lots of wildlife too with a Woodpecker, heron, buzzards to name but a few. The resident ducks and hens were extremely funny to watch. All in all a jolly good site and one which we shall visit again.

Excellent CL, highly recommend

Had a fabulous 4-night stay on this CL and it is just as good as other reviewers have stated. The site is clean and peaceful with delightful chickens and ducks free to roam, and sheep and plentiful birdlife to spot and enjoy. The pitch was excellently equipped, beyond what is provided by most CLs and we did appreciate that. The nightly price charged was more than shown here on the website and in the Directory, making it top-end for a CL, but it was worth the extra and we would definitely be willing to pay that again for future visits. This CL should be held up as the gold standard for others - thank you, Mr Slade!

One of the best

Great site....we have been coming for a few years and love the full hard standing serviced pitches (and the animals). The site is maintained to a very high standard, you could't ask for better. Paul is usually somewhere on site and is always very helpful. We look forward to our next visit
