Luxury for a CL

We only stayed one night on this site but what a lovely situation. A large pitch overlooking fields and very quiet and secluded. The full service pitch including personal waste/recycling bins and Elsan disposal drain. This was a first for us on a CL. My husband was interested in the fishing pond but unfortunately the pond was quite overgrown with Bulrushes and he could not find an area to set up a chair to fish. It would have been possible to stand and fish over a railing from the Jetty but my husband has a disability and it wasn't possible for him to do this. The owner may have plans to clear the bulrushes so best to check with the him before booking if you plan to fish. We would stay here again if we went back to this area.

Excellent site

Absolutely love this site. Went twice last year and booked in for 2 holidays again this year. Enormous fully serviced pitches. The site is very well maintained and within easy reach of the coast and the park and ride to Exeter and a fantastic farm shop is less than 5 minutes drive. Lovely to see the ducks and chickens pottering about. Paul is a lovely man and always ready to chat or help if necessary. This site spoils us for any where else. Wish there were more sites like this around.

Great site like a second home. Been coming for several years and watched it develop from grass pitches to full hard standing serviced pitches.Paul is very friendly, always helpful and ready for a chat. Site is maintained to a very high standard. We will keep coming back. Shame the caravan club has lost all his reviews, they were great. Keep up the good work paul The Trims

Another hidden gem

An outstanding CL with fully serviced, spacious and clean hard-standing pitches in a pleasant rural setting. Friendly and informative welcome in an area full of potential. Try the Exe trail if you walk or cycle! This CL sets the standard!! Thanks for a pleasant visit.

Super Site

Spent three nights on this very pleasant site. Each pitch has a hardstanding with plenty of room. It has water, grey waste and loo empting facilities on each pitch. Very friendly, welcoming site owner. Lovely area, plenty to see and do. We will definitely be using this site again!

Good hard standing facilities.

Stayed here recently on 2 occasions when the the weather was very wet and windy so it was the perfect site with well laid out hardstandings with facilities to each and a nice view. Friendly welcome. Fee now £15.

Nice CL

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays in 2015 unfortunately for us the weather was bad with high winds and rain, nevertheless the gravel pitches were well drained and consequently we had no issues getting on or off the site while towing with a two wheeled drive car. The access to the site is easy even for double axel van. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Manoeuvring your van onto the pitches is easy but to avoid going over the grass in wet weather a mover would be needed. The TV signal via our aerial was good although we did use or dish so we could use our Sky box. Despite the bad weather we did have a very enjoyable time and would not hesitated on going back again.

Decent CL in a good location but...

We booked this CL last minute on our way home from Cornwall in an area we've not previously visited. Endorse previous comments about the size of pitches and friendliness/helpfulness of the owner, Paul. Sadly it is near impossible to walk safely from the site because the road outside is very busy, which is a pity because the Halfway Inn up the road is excellent. However, you are allowed to park there to get the buses that pass by to Exeter, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Honiton. Another 'but' concerns the CDP facility for each pitch, may be OK on pitches 1-4 but we were on pitch 5, the last on the run-off into the sceptic tank and we frequently got 'the whiff' if you know what I mean....

Fabulous CL

Just had 12 nights at this beautiful CL. Paul and Ann Slade are a great couple who made us feel very welcome. Paul has a wealth of knowledge about what to see and where to go (or not) in the area :) A very quiet, well looked after site, resident ducks and chickens calling to see you each day. Lovely view from your window, a pretty field with sheep grazing and a backdrop of trees. Massive pitches with your own hard-standing and lawn, plenty of space to sit and picnic/barbeque on your own pitch. Would not hesitate to recommend this CL and we would stay again.
