Lovely site

Lovely site, a large flat field. Warm welcome from the owner and Lucy the dog. Good location for the park and ride into Oxford. Recommend!

Easy to visit Oxford.

Park and ride to Oxford a few minutes away. Also good supermarket. Site ...Down a long lane (with that locked gate) Which we liked. Site flat and electric hook ups well scattered so all of the vast area can be utilised. Everything clean and tidy. The nearby major road could be heard but not seen ... not intrusive. Railway could be seen but trains infrequent ... not intrusive. A very pleasant site. Owners efficient and friendly.

Brilliant first CL !

A lovely spacious site, there were 3 other units there when we visited but they were all spaced out away from us and each other. Pretty surroundings with a river at the bottom of the field. A next door very large field was great for walking the dogs and really safe. The park and ride to Oxford was really easy and we had a lovely afternoon taking in the architecture and atmosphere of a fun university city. This was only a one night stop for us on the way to the Lake District and was easy to access from the motorway so it made it convenient. Would definitely visit again and explore Oxford further.

Enjoyable stay.

I can't comment on the locked gates but as we are back from whatever we were doing by then it wouldn't affect us. The field we stayed in was very spacious and the 5 vans could really spread out. The river opposite is fishable if you can get past all the vegetation growing along the bank. There is a bit of occasional noise but that is to be expected from a working farm but even so, that and the railway line the other side of the river didn't impact on us so I gave it five stars. When we were there there was an even larger site for 5 outfits but this didn't have EHU. To sum up if you aren't going out for the evening, like a theatre, when you expect to be back late I thoroughly recommend this site.

Visits in 2012

We have visited this site on 3 occasions last year and loved it. Spacious, relaxed, easy access, walking, lovely owners. So convenient for so many places that we wanted to visit, park and ride to Oxford, bus ride to Bicester village - great. Only downside is locked gate at 10pm, couldn't a key pad be introduced as happens at other sites. Not that this will stop us visiting again.

October half term.

My wife and I stayed two nights during October. The weather had been raining, and more was predicted. We started to slip on arrival and decided to park on the hard standing area. The site is large with the other two guest quite a distance away from ourselves. They had 4x4's! The site is level with trees and bushes to provide some privacy. One side of the site is an unfenced river. Access to waste and water are easy; and the electrics are easily available and work without any glitches. Visiting Oxford is a doddle as the park and ride is 5 or so minutes away. Blenheim Palace is about a 15 minute drive. Big Sainsbury and Harvester restaurant in nearby village. This was our first ever visit to a CL. The quite and a space was a pleasant difference from our usual club sites.

Locked Gate

The club book states farm gate locked at 22.00.It really does mean this, difficult if you have booked theatre tickets. Its either a long walk or a taxi ride.

Good size CL

Good to find a big field with hook-up well spaced out. Some trafic noise from the nearby A road, not a problem though.
