Peaceful weekend

Booked this site on friday morning 20/9/13 just for 2 nights. After arriving late that evening i was shown to my pitch. Which was nice level grass pitch. The loo & shower could do with little make over but clean which is all that matters. Next morning i woke to hear the sound of the chickens & ducks outside my caravan. Had a lovely relaxing & so peaceful weekend. Will be going back for another weekend.

you get what you pay for

first impressions down the drive very good. approach the cl and on your left lovely views and on the right a partialy cleared wood with old machinery amongst it. this cl shows that you dont have to have a lot of land to be a site. shout/ring bell hard as dependant on where anyone is. toilet/shower well ready for "make over" views only from field-in your caravan you have to choose between a barn the full length of the cl or the thinned wood with relics in it. short on length for vans-any with twin wheels looked as if they were parked at an angle making a tight site even more tight.cars park other side of road to caravan. nice people/owners. level site. good location for this side of derbyshire. would we stop again-yes but only for short stopover.not an ideal site to sit out and look at the views and not hear every noise/conversation from next door. like i said -you get what you pay for and for a couple more pounds per nighton other cls  you get a lot more.

We keep coming back

This is a lovely and friendly CL and although we like to travel to different places we keep coming back to this one. The bus stops right outside which takes you straight into Chesterfield and a smashing restaurant/pub just up the road.

so tranquil

What a lovely peaceful site. Birdsong, chickens, horses! lovely short grass to pitch on. If you don't need electric hook up, I recommend the field,, it has the most amazing views! If I have one niggle it is that the shower cubicle could just do with a lick of paint which would make all the difference. We are most definitely returning to this one!
