This site is a little gem

Beautiful positioned site and well maintained. Spotless shower room, toilet and washroom. Level site with hard standing and hookups. Well signed and easy to find and only about 100 mtr from the beach although the pull in to the site is a little tight for larger units as the lane is narrow. The owner is most welcoming and nothing is too much trouble

Hidden gem

What a great little site. Such a friendly welcome by the owner, she was just about to go shopping and asked if there was anything I might have forgotten and she’d bring it back for me! Spotless shower and loo, plenty hot water, soap and even a towel provided! Hard standing, level pitches and virtually no road noise at all (although there was an occasional gentle moo from one of the cows 😂). The beach is just over the road and if the tide is out, it’s enormous ... great for a nice walk along to Allonby. Give it a go x

Update to last review , shower being added

After speaking to the very friendly owner she advised me that a shower is being installed in a few weeks time , certainly one of the best cl’s we have stayed on and will defiantly be returning

Stopover

Allonby was one of our places we used to go to before getting our motor home and we always used to say it would be lovely to stay a couple of nights and enjoy what we had on our doorstep rather than go back to Carlisle. Mrs Bassam met us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming, and the site was spotless as was the toilet/washroom. Easy to get to, great access for beach and Allonby and because we had the bikes with us great for Maryport or Silloth bike runs too. Would definitely go back again.

Peace! Perfect Peace!!

Beautifully maintained site, close to the Solway shore. Quiet and peaceful yet not that far off the road. Grass with hardstanding paths and grass cuttings are minimal as they are lifted during cutting. I would love to have stayed longer, but I would definitely return here, as we were made very welcome by Mrs. Bassam and family

Beautiful Setting

Stayed here for a couple of nights over the Easter weekend. Very clean, tranquil and orderly site with a friendly welcome. Good access and no levelling blocks needed. Lovely views of the Lake District peaks from the site and views of Scotland from the beach. Perfect dog walks from the site with nice pub and fish & chip shop within easy reach. Would definitely use again.

Well placed site

If your looking for a quiet peaceful cl location then this is perfect, it's well maintained toilet is always spotless.the pitches are level and caravan has hard standing.perfection always comes with a but and it's be prepared to wear wellies in damp or wet weather as the grass although mowed on a regular basis was never short enough to walk on without getting feet and trouser bottom wet.
