Rang owner, Charlie, very friendly, said he had spaces so we drove here on the day! Fairly easy to find, narrowish lane to come down but not a problem. Small fenced off field, with water, chemical disposal and newly installed electric, we chose to not use ehu for our 2 night stay. We pitched up, rang owner he said he would pop to se us later. Turned up early evening, very nice friendly working farmer, couldn't have been nicer. Bus stop 2 min walk away, to Bristol or Weston super mare, so is pub. Would definitely return for a future stay.
Not so good this time.
I've stayed two nights this time and apart from a text confirming my booking and one more very brief one telling me where the gate is I've not seen hide nor hair of anyone. I can't find any drinking water and no one has replied to my texts so I can only assume there isn't any. I know it's only a tenner a night but it's really quite disconcerting not being able to get hold of anyone. I'm a disabled woman travelling alone and it would be nice to know there's at least someone nearby. I also REALLY need some water and the nearest shop is a mile away.
Apart from being run by ghosts it's a really convenient CL.
Friendly owners, laid back and helpful. Nice CL
I only stayed one night on the way to somewhere else but the owner was friendly and helpful and the site is level, what more do you want from a CL? Great location, close to Bristol centre. I'd definitely stay again.
