A Warm welcome

A great little CL tucked away to the rear of the owners cottage, which also has two holiday cottages. Maurice and Rita are so warm and friendly but never intrusive always willing to help if required. The site is located a the very edge of the village of Helperthorpe approximately 10 mins drive from Sledmere House a great stately home with fab gardens and an even better tea room. Yorkshire Wolds on your doorstep as is Dalby Forest (20 mins drive). The site is level at the entrance side and slightly sloping towards the rear, but this is never an issue as chocks and levelers always available if required. There is also one level hard standing pitch. A very quiet site with only slight occasional noise from traffic passing through the village. We have been several times and cannot wait for our next visit. £10 a night all in. WiFi also available for a small charge of £1 a day. Currently there is a very clean toilet but Maurice and Rita are installing a new toilet block that will also have a shower. A well looked after CL on a good size plot, give it a go you'll be glad you did.

Yorkshire at its best.

We have just returned from PEAR TREE HOUSE CL after spending 6 nights (Oct-Nov) and it is great. The owners Maurice and Rita were very welcoming and keep the site and facilities to a very high standard. The site is mostly grass but there is a good sized hard standing pitch. All the pitches are well spaced and if you pitch in the 'right direction' there are wonderull views across open fields. The site is definitely in the countryside, but it is well located for the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby, or for a day out in York. Or Pickering, where you can catch a steam train for a scenic and nostalgic ride to Goathland (Heartbeat). Highly recommended site in a beautiful part of the country. We will return
