How lucky we were being able to "steal" 4 nights at this popular CL. Just what was needed after months of lockdown. The directions are as printed in the S.D. The house does come up on you quite suddenly so try to be driving a bit slower. If approaching from the west then you will need to swing wide onto the opposite side of the road to slip through the stone walled entrance. You then swing wide to turn right onto the CL area. There are 5 Hardstanding pitches, based on a cinder type of hardcore. The pictures are slightly misleading. The first and third photos show a caravan at the far end of the CL but the owners have put down a H/S leading towards the fence, just like to the first 2 pitches on the left. In addition the first pitch on the right as you enter is also H/S now. There is bags of room between pitches. Owners ask that you put the Unit and any awning on the H/S.All pitches are more or less level. EHU on each pitch. The water point is by the entrance to the pitches together with rubbish bins. There are recycling bins provided. Elsan is accessed on a low wall, knee high and very clean. Waste water is by the barn, again very clean area. The toilet and shower block was closed due to the Pandemic so cannot comment on those. Each service point had Hand Gel and/or paper towels and disinfectant was by the waste water. There is an area set aside as a dog walk, sufficient for your dog's immediate needs. Criccieth isn't endowed with a supermarket, having a NISA store and some independent shops but Porthmadog, about 6 miles away has a Tesco. We had no problems with wifi signal.
The owners couldn't have been more genial. Smashing couple. The place was spotless with grass cuttings picked up.
The views are excellent. In 3 days we drove a total of 20 miles so it is easy to access places. The local village has buses running through so you could travel to Pwhelli or Porthmadog or just down to Criccieth itself. Bus stop about 750 yards away from site.
So, anything to complain about? Not really. The road outside sees plenty of traffic during the day, not constant but noticeable. It drops off at night but as this is farming country you will hear early morning farm vehicles driving up and down it. We weren't bothered about them.
As my title says I cannot remember staying on a better CL for many a year and will return to this one when we have the urge to revisit the area.
Outstanding CL site
Booked for two nights. We have never been to a CL site before so did not really know what to expect. We were very impressed. We were located on plot 1, which has sea views!
We are booking to go again as it is ideally located for visiting Porthmadog / Abersoch. Mair and Hugh were great - very helpful with the local knowledge.
The only negative was we had to go home!

Lovely well kept site
We stayed for 3 nights here - the site is very well ordered and well kept. The pitches are hard standing and nice and level so pitching up is very easy. It was peaceful, although the weather was a bit so-so. It is amongst the better Cl's that we have stayed in and would recommend it without reservation.
Lovely site and location
We have recently stayed for 8 nights at this lovely CL. Hugh and Mair, the owners, were very friendly and helpful. The site and facilities were immaculate and there were some lovely places to visit in the area, many that we hadn't visited before. We can thoroughly recommend this site and would definitely stay there again if in that area.
Oh what a lovely site
This was our first visit, and can we say the site was lovely, nicely set out with hard standing pitches.the toilet and shower were spotless, as was the site. All the bins were emptied everyday. The waste and fresh water along with the toilet emptying were all in easy reach. Mair and Hugh the owners were so nice and helpful, showing you where everything was, Hugh was so helpful, when we arrived as we had trouble with the motor mover. This site is a credit to a very nice couple.
Great site
Had a great 4 nights here, wish we could have had more, site was very clean and tidy along with toilet/shower. Owners were great ( busy getting things ready for the wedding) Matty our sprocker loved the dog walk area, a great bonus on a CL site, the views from our van looked over the fields to the sea in the distance. Hope all went well with the wedding? and the eggs we bought were MMMMM delicious.
Wonderful site
Just had a fantastic 2 weeks on this beautiful site. Mair, Hugh (affectionately know to us as John) and dog Kai are so friendly and welcoming they couldnt do enough for us. Will definitely return.

Visit the Lleyn peninsula
Very warm welcome on arrival by Hugh and Mair, showed us where everything was, fresh water, waste water and chemical disposal all conveniently positioned, away from the pitches, which were all level. Very clean shower and toilet. Recycling boxes emptied regularly. Sea views, which was an unexpected bonus. Good access from the road.It is only a B road, so the noise wasn't too bad. Definitely stay there again next time we visit the lovely Lleyn Peninsular. Many thanks, Chris and Gill Logsdail, Oswestry.
Second visit.
Another splendid stay with Mair and John. We'll definitely be back - what more is there to say?
Outstanding site
My wife and I are new to caravanning and this was our first 'proper' outing. Hugh and Mair were delightful hosts who obviously take great pride in their site. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and everything worked perfectly. We stayed for a week at the end of September and used the caravan as a base to explore the area in, as it happened, near perfect weather! We'll be back for sure. Brian & Christine Cunningham
