Why stay here ...

Hugh and Mair welcome you to Penrallt Bach, about 2 miles North of Cricceith. The CL is ideal for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia. There are several lovely beaches nearby and the coastal path is within easy walking distance from the site.

There is a cycle path from Porthmadog to Pwllheli that runs past the village. There is also regular public transport going through the village during the day to either Pwllheli or Porthmadog.

Cricieth has several shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Several larger supermarkets can be found in Porthmadog and Pwllheli.

Llanystumdwy village has a small traditional pub that has recently been taken over by the community. The David Lloyd George (Prime Minister) Museum and his boyhood home are in the village and also his grave by the River Dwyfor.

The owners are more than happy to provide you with information and walks in the area to make your holiday one to remember.

Excellent. In a nutshell, if you are thinking of opening a CL, visit here to see how to do it. Five stars is no more than they deserve.

Mair and Hugh deserve a 5* rating for this amazing site. Never have we had access on a site whereby the shower and toilet block is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean beyond belief. 20p metre 4 minutes duration perfect time. The site has picturesque views. Hugh and Mair are two amazing site owners that go above and beyond to ensure their guests are completely happy during their stay. Excellent local knowledge and if you like a laugh Hugh is your man. 🤣🤣 The site is immaculate with spacious pitches. Adults only make for it to be a peaceful stay. Thank you Mair and Hugh for so many laughs during our stay been a pleasure staying on Penrallt and meeting you both. Chrissy Les and Betsy 🤣

Fabulous Site

Penrallt Bach
This is a wonderful site and a credit to owners Mair & Hugh. They are very friendly and welcoming. It is a spacious CL with open views across fields. We loved watching the barn owl some evenings, the buzzard and occasional red kite during the day. Facilities are excellent with a high standard of shower and toilet facilities. All pitches have a water tap. The site is well placed for visiting the whole peninsula and the beaches are beautiful. If you like steam trains then Porthmadog Station is a must. We were lucky as it was the 100 year Anniversary weekend celebrating the Welsh Highland Railway. Although it didn't bother us the road adjacent to the site can occasionally be noisy during the day. There is no problem at night. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt very at home.

Lovely site in a great location

Penrallt Bach
We stayed here for 3 nights on our route home from a holiday in Pembrokeshire. On our arrival Hugh & Mair couldn’t be more welcoming, they are a lovely couple. As caravanners themselves, they know what makes a great CL and they certainly have achieved this! It’s a 2.5 easy walk into Criccieth by footpath along the main road and slightly longer more scenic route via the coast paths. It’s in a great location to visit the surrounding area, one of our favourites was Beddgelert, a gorgeous village with both easy or more challenging footpaths in the area. We will certainly be back soon!
