Excellent site

Spent 11 nights here touring this part of beautiful Wales. Great site that has a single shower and separate toilet which are kept very clean. Pitches are level and have ehu . There is the usual fresh water point and waste water and the chemical toilet cleaning point. Pitches over look fields and there is a B road behind. It can be a little noisey but its not constant. Owners Mair and Hugh and very welcoming and friendly. There is a really good fish n chip shop in Criccieth called Castle Fish n Chips, the nicest fish n chips we have ever had and they cook to order so its all fresh. We had a lovely stay even though the weather was not too good. Diolch Carole & Stephen

one of the best

A really well run CL with very clean facilities, everything is well laid out in a lovely area ,friendly owners one of best CLs we ever stayed at , The road is close by but it is only a "B" road so not too much of an issue, everybody should visit this CL to see how it should be done.

Loved this site, from start to finish. Great Location. Near to steam railways and the seaside just down the road. Beautiful part of the country. Hugh and Mair were very welcoming and sociable making our stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

Great site

Facilities fabulous & clean. Good sized pitches, even get a sea view in the distance. There is a large field that can be used to exercise your dog. The rabbit farm round the corner is great for kids, with rabbits & puppies to hold & pony rides. Lots of beautiful beaches within easy reach. Criccieth is a lovely town. We will definitely be returning to this lovely site.

Friendly and warm welcoming site owners

We arrived at the campsite on a rainy day, dreading putting up our folding camper and awning however we were greeted by a friendly man (Hugh) who helped us move our camper into position and showed us round the onsite facilities (which were outstanding). The site itself is set out well giving plenty of room between each pitch (handy when the dogs escaped from the awning). We would like to thank Mair and Hugh for accommodating our unexpected guest. The scenery surrounding the campsite is nice and you can see the sea in the distance through the trees from where we were pitched. The site is well positioned for visiting the beautiful surrounding areas. The 2 weeks we stayed on the CL were enjoyable and we would definitely return in the future if ever in that area. Thank You :)

A little gem of a site

We arrived at the site to be warmly greeted by Hugh, he directed us to our pitch and pointed out the facilities (which were fists class and very clean, he even helped me get manoeuvred into our hard standing, level pitch (our first trip away as complete beginners). The peace, quiet, stunning scenery and the chickens are amazing here and this little CL makes a great base from which to explore to beautiful coast and towns. Hugh and Mair are very warm and helpful. Penrallt Bach has certainly set the standard for sites we would like to tour on our forthcoming adventures. We would love to come back some day.

Fabulous Site

We had to cut our visit short to Penrallt-bach but will definitely return, beautiful clean site, nice and level and well kept, the facilities some of the cleanest We have used! It is very close to Criccieth which is lovely small town and beautiful beach and surroundings, in the village of Llanystwmdwy is the Lloyd George Museum and also the Rabbit Farm - a lovely little petting farm for families. Mair and Hugh were so welcoming and nothing too much trouble, the views lovely and a nice level site, We enjoyed the chickens joining us for lunch :) brilliant

Fantastic site in a great location

Just spent the bank holiday weekend at this fantastic site. Hugh & Mair are a wonderful couple who can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. This site has 4 gravel & 1 grass pitch, all are level & easily accessible even with a motorhome. The toilet & shower are only 50 metres from your pitch. The shower was always hot & both were cleaned daily. The site is 2 miles from Criccieth & within easy reach to Porthmadog, Caernarfon & Pwllheli. The beaches and coves around Tremadog Bay are stunning. Don’t miss out on this site, you won’t be disappointed. We will certainly be back.

Holiday part 2 bliss

What a stunning site, when looking on the website to book this we wanted a site close to the coast and thought that although this (on the map) is a little inland that it might not have a view but on arrival we see that the site from pitches 1 and 2 for reference has a beautiful view to the southern coast of the Llyn Peninsula - absolutely stunning. Very helpful welcome from Mair in arrival with a helpful mention about what pitch to occupy as we had the place to ourselves. The site is close to the road but there was enough noise coming from that to cause us any concern. Within 15 mins you can be in Porthmadog for larger shops or just over 5 mins you are in Criccieth for local larger shops. We didn’t wander down to Llanystumdwy so can’t comment there but it is fair to assume some smaller shops will be on hand there. We spent the few days we were on site exploring Blaenau Ffestiniog (35 mins drive), Portmeirion (20 mins drive) and Pwllheli (15 mins drive). So for us this site was well positioned for easy exploration and coupled with fantastic hosts and a very modern set of facilities it was a most enjoyable few days. Thanks Mair and family :)

Lovely Site and Lovely People

We visited this site in October 2017 and had a nice warm welcome and we were looked after by the owners Mair and Hugh from the start. They made our weeks stay really pleasant even though most of the time it rained. The site is lovely and clean as is the near new toilet block. The area is pretty central to the Llyn peninsula with lots of nice beaches, villages and places to visit. We will definitely be staying here again.
