what a little gem.

what a lovely site right next to a river, Mr.Evans is so kind, if you want peace and quite this is the site for you. we have a motorhome and had no problem turning in ,its not a tight as it looks from the road. we will be calling here again if its just to see the red kites feeding. good flat grass mowed site, and very tidy.

Pleasant site

Quiet little site alongside a stream and flat. No electricity or mobile signal so if that's important, you won't like it. Very helpful owner. Very well cared for site. We used it as a stopover but you could spend longer here as their are a number of walks that start nearby. It doesn't have outstanding views; its tucked away in a valley but perfectly pleasant place.

What a beautiful tranquil setting, and red kites fed every day at 3pm!

Mr Evans was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, he made a special point of visiting everyone on site every day. This is a beautiful peaceful site, no mobile signal, electric, TV signal or WiFi, but that meant we had an uninterrupted stay. The site is very flat, plenty of room, and there is a lovely, shallow, tinkling river next to it. It is a little bit tight getting in and out onto the road, but Mr Evans came to see us out when we left. The scenery is fantastic, and Mr Evans feeds the Red Kites every day at 3pm, a spectacular event. We are photographers and this was fantastic for us, as other places charge for watching such a show. Mr Evans even set up a hide for us in his barn so that we could watch and photograph the birds feed, although they didn't want to come down that particular day! The site is within easy reach of Aberdovey, Towyn, Borth, Inyslas, you can easily walk a mile over the golf course to Machynlleth which has banks/shops/cafes restaurants etc, including a lovely vegetarian cafe. We spent a fascinating day at the Centre for Alternative Technology, there is also the Osprey project nearby, which is well worth a visit. The tiny mining village of Corris is lovely too. We photographed the sunset on two evenings, just turn right out of the campsite towards Llanidloes and there is a superb viewpoint looking west. Also if you are a photographer is the Artist's Valley, and next to it, the Waterfall and Furnace is spectacular. We thoroughly recommend this site.
