Home from Home

We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August 2016 and enjoyed every minute. The site is tranquil and extremely well kept. Greg and Louise made us very welcome and are the perfect hosts. Facilities were second to none the shower and toilet facilities ("The Hut") were kept spotless with fresh towels daily. If you get the chance you must try one of Louise's delicious breakfasts in the B&B it will set you up for the day. The dog run is safe and secure and offers an excellent view whilst relaxing in the swing chair. The welcoming cup of tea and kit Kat was a life saver thanks Greg for that and the cream tea and chocolate cake were delicious thanks Louise you are a star baker. The lane to the site is narrow but we had no problems either arriving or leaving but recommend you follow the directions supplied. Overall easily the best CL site we have visited.

A Great Experience

We stayed for four nights in August and had the most relaxing time. The pitches are hard standing and with their own EHU and water and we were fortunate to get pitch 4 which was at the end of the site - very tranquil. The wifi is excellent and the shower and loo spotless and well presented. Access into the site is very good although the approach road is a narrow half mile - the site has an early check out of 11am to ease this situation and we were fine. The hosts Greg and Louise really understand the hospitality industry and their friendly and helpful service was the icing on the cake. We will return. Also, our friend stayed in the on site B&B for a couple of nights while we were there and declared it superb.

Not to be Missed

I can only add to the excellent reviews of this site, customer satisfaction and being valued is the number one priority. Louise, Greg and Harvey make you feel welcome at all times and go over and above ones expectations. The local wildlife gives the lucky viewer glimpses of Kingfishers and Otters. A site to be remembered, revisited and not forgotten

Its all been said - well almost!

Agree with previous reviews and... Location: off A388 nr Launceston. Narrow access lane last half mile.  Site: all HS; OAY (..and we will be back); 'The Hut' - c/w WC & shwr; Very pleasant hosts - excellent site but a bit isolated for motorhome owners without that alternative transport.  Off site: nearest pub - 'Pint & Post' - 1.8M 'ish' walk - worth the effort. Only one worry - Greg has never tried a Barnecutts Cornish Pasty - go Greg, go!

Why are we only allowed five ticks? This seems ,not to be a C.L.,but more of a second home, run by Gregg

This should not be classed as a C.L.,it's more like a second home. Greg, Louise and Harvey are fantastic people, who make you welcome from the time of arrival, to time of departure. Members are spoilt by Harvey, who brings free ices ,Mum Louise who always thinks of us ,and cooks one of the best cakes, I have ever tasted (and I've tasted a few!) Whilst Greg is forever working on the upkeep of the Pristine Pitches, never failing to notice if anyone has any problems, and is always prepared to assist if he can. This is our third holiday at this amazing location, and only wish we could score it higher than 5 out of 5. We have visited many C.L.s and generally speaking have be pleased with them, Poole Farm however, tower's above any we have visited. Please keep this to yourselves though, this really is the Jewel in the Crown of "C.L.s" Tim & Marie Nash Gloucester

Too good to be true?

You have read previous reports and may be sceptical about their honesty but this is our second year here and the standards have not dropped, in fact Louise and Greg. have enhanced this outstanding site by adding wifi . Book up quick if you are touring this part of the world and find out about this gem for yourself.

What does one say !!! Perfect

This will be our second visit. We couldn't visit Cornwall without saying hello to old friends (that's how it feels) Louise, Greg & Harvey are a lovely family & so friendly, caring and can't do enough for you to enjoy your stay. They are very busy with improvements but still make you feel special. The site is very tidy and clean, even with building works going on it doesn't encroach on to the camp site or the personal touch by Louise & Greg. Well done both of you keep it up and don't ever change. Thank you Cyndi & Terry

Excellent

We stayed at Poole Farm for 9 nights over the Easter holiday. We arrived later than planned due to the M5 carpark but were greeted with a warm welcome, nice cup of tea and hot cross buns which were greatly appreciated after the long journey. We got settled on our pitch and were then presented with a cream tea, that was pudding sorted. This was not the end of the personal touches, on Sunday morning we were presented with Easter eggs and planted flowers in a nice pot.  The Site. The Site has 5 large hard standings all fully serviced. There is no aerial hookup however it is not needed as the signal is strong, even our avtex aerial picked up all the freeview channels. As others as stated the 'hut' is very well appointed with modern bathroom facilities. Even the chemical waste point as been very well thought out. The whole site and facilities are maintained to a very high standard. It is very obvious that Louise, Greg & Harvey are very proud of their site and rightly so. Location. Down the bottom of a country lane but we had no problem with a 8 meter twin axle. There are plenty of public footpaths adjacent to the site and apart from local farm traffic the lanes are very quiet. It as nice to just sit and watch the birds feed from the well Stocked feeders adjacent to each of the pitches. Even though the weather was not kind during the week we were still very sad to leave this peaceful haven. Summary. A excellent site owned by a lovely family and not to be missed.
