A Short but Lovely Stay

Poole Farm
We stayed for just one night, not having been out and about in our camper for a while due to something called covid. What a fantastic, peaceful and well-maintained site this is! We were greeted by Greg on our arrival who told us everything we needed to know and handed us a mightily impressive Welcome Pack, which even included a biscuit for our dog (which was gone in seconds once he got hold of it). Louise later introduced herself, it was lovely to meet both of the site owners. The site itself is quiet and has a stream running through it and is adjacent to the river Tamar both of which provide a relaxing ambience. The dog walk area was appreciated by our dog, Jimmy, and we explored one or two lanes outside the site. The site provides a multitude of catering options, and we were glad to have taken advantage of the full English breakfast before we left – it was plentiful and delicious. It was also delivered to us! Our neighbouring guests told us they had the breakfast and were having the Sunday lunch too – where would they find the room?! All in all, this was a relaxing and enjoyable quick break away for us and we definitely plan to return for longer in the new year. The only downside was the weather which was a bit damp and miserable at times, but I guess the site owners can’t control everything! To summarise – highly recommended and very impressive.

Simply the Best!

Poole Farm
We have just arrived home after spending three nights on Louise and Greg’s site. Wow, it couldn’t be better, lovely people who put themselves out to help and absolutely everything is thought of and site is immaculate. Evening meals and breakfasts served to your motorhome or caravan, if required, and all absolutely delicious!! We have already booked out next stay in May and we’re really looking forward to it.

Just Brilliant

Poole Farm
This was our second visit to this lovely site. I am not surprised it has won CL of the Year, congratulations. Arrival is easy but follow the sites directions. Pitches are level and serviced apart from grey water, which can be a bit tricky to lift over lip of disposal area. The hut is warm well stocked and very clean , lovely showers. Even a radio in the hut! The dog field is ample in size and cut paths for walking with fabulous views and a swing seat to sit and think ! However what really makes this special is the care and attention you receive from Greg and Louise. Attention to detail is second to none, from arrival packs , to ease of booking, dog biscuits, cakes , cream teas the list goes on. They manage this without being intrusive .The icing on the cake this year is the hot home cooked meals, delivered to your caravan. The Sunday roast was sublime, as was the weekday evening meal. Thank you for making the site so special and for all the care and attention giving to your guests. Hope to be able to return .

Reluctant to share this CL

Poole Farm
We have recently returned from Poole Farm and had the most relaxing time with our friends. We endeavour to visit this CL every year and are continually surprised to find that Lou and Greg find new things to offers to make our stay even more enjoyable. Lou and Greg are the perfect hosts in so many ways. Arriving is always a pleasure as the site is perfectly maintained and the chances are that you will be greeted by the offer of a warm drink and scone or cake. Lou is an excellent chef and we have enjoyed many wonderful breakfasts delivered to or Cavan so hot that the plates come with a waning, handle with care. This year, as well as the Sunday Roast on offer, you can now order an evening meal any day of the week from an extensive menu, again delivered directly to your outfit. What a wonderful treat we had. The site facilities, which are always kept clean, are a massive bonus as are electricity and water which are available on each pitch. Huge thanks to Lou and Greg we look forward to seeing you next year. Trevor and Sue.
