Due to the narrow approach lane, members are asked to arrive after 14.00 and departure before 11.00.
Poole Farm is situated on the Devon/Cornwall border adjacent to the River Tamar. It offers just under one acre of peace and tranquillity with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It will appeal not only to those looking for a place to relax and appreciate the views but also to the more energetic who enjoy walking or cycling along the surrounding quiet lanes and river banks. Poole Farm Certificated Location opened in August 2011. It is an adult only (16+) site, open all year with dogs being welcome if kept on a lead at all times. There is a dog walk adjacent to the site. Every pitch has access to 16 amp electric hook-ups, drinking water and ample space for awnings (breathable groundsheets by arrangement with the owners who reserve the right to refuse their use). Wi-Fi is available on site. 'The Hut' houses a modern toilet/shower room and a helpful tourist information area.
Poole Farm is situated in the heart of excellent walking country with access to Dartmoor National Park, Bodmin Moor and the North Cornwall Heritage Coast. Roadford Laken is within 5-miles of Poole Farm and offers sailing, brown trout fishing, attractive lake walks and a restaurant. Other local attractions include Launceston and Tintagel Castles, Brent Tor, Lydford Gorge, Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre, Launceston Steam Railway, Jamaica Inn, the Eden Project and many National Trust locations including Lanhydrock and Cotehele. All are easily accessible from the site. For those who love shopping Tavistock and Holsworthy markets are also popular attractions.

Best CL Ever
Poole Farm
We stayed at Poole Farm for 7 nights from 5th to 12th July as part of our 2024 tour to the West Country. We relocated form Carnon Downs to Poole Farm for our 2nd week.
Well what can I say, this is a little piece of paradise in the Devon countryside that just wraps around you and makes you feel at home and pampered.
The facilities are great and as you enter you have to remind yourself this is just a 5 pitch Cl as it its the big sites to shame.
It is so peaceful and welcoming and Lou & Greg are excellent hosts and clearly care passionately about their business which is evidenced by all the little details. They were on holiday for part of our visit but the frozen meals in the freezer, the jams and chutneys in the cupboard meant Lou was never far away.
Their friend Glen was in charge and had clearly been well tutored by Lou & Greg as he could not do enough for us and was very welcoming and friendly. The weather was terrible the day we arrived and he was a blessing when he appeared with our complimentary cream tea which was delicious and another lovely touch but I did drink it with Cornish tea.
If we are in the area again we have decided that Poole Farm will be our CL of choice, if we can get booked. It is clearly very popular as I think of the outfits that stayed during our stay I think we were the only first timer.

Wonderful in every way
Poole Farm
At first glance this cl may seem a little expensive, and it is, but it is SO worth every penny. Wonderful spotless facilities. Friendly hosts. Great food if you choose some of Lou’s offerings. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning.
The Best Ever!

Poole Farm CL is the best we have ever stopped on. 5 immaculate pitches, lovely walks and views, toilet and shower , small essentials 'shop', a dog wash if your pup gets wet, washing machine and dryer, (not for the dog), you simply can’t get better.
The Tamar is literally over the country lane. Site so peaceful and serene. Greg and Louise are the most amazing hosts. Food cooked to order is first rate, and pasties the best ever. We have stayed in the B&B and the cottage, all lovely. The CL is calling us back…
Simply the best
Poole Farm
This was our second visit to this CL. Its so good we've booked again for next year already. Pitches are clearly marked and we'll spaced out. The grounds are immaculately manicured and look fantastic. The access road to the site is narrow but has never been an issue on the occasions we went out. Great site!!!! See you again next year.
This has to be the best ever CL
Poole Farm
My wife and I have been caravanning for the best part of 30 years now and have visited numerous CLs in that time. We have enjoyed being at every single one of them as they have all had something that made them good. This CL is bar far the best, they have thought of everything.
Greeted by a warm welcome and an offer of a drink, shown around the facilities, the shower room, the separate toilet, the dog shower, washroom, small shop for basic food items, home made meals in the freezer, the list goes on.
The pitches themselves are again perfect and you can have your meals delivered to yours. Breakfast was lovely as was Sunday dinner. The homemade jam was also very good. Homemade pizzas tonight we're again delivered hot to our van and went down really well.
Our dogs enjoyed the dog walk and had a good run around, they even were given a welcome treat on arrival.
Thank you for a lovely 5 days, your CL is brilliant, made perfect by your hospitality, home cooking and attention to every detail.
