We stayed at Poole Farm for 9 nights over the Easter holiday. We arrived later than planned due to the M5 carpark but were greeted with a warm welcome, nice cup of tea and hot cross buns which were greatly appreciated after the long journey.
We got settled on our pitch and were then presented with a cream tea, that was pudding sorted.
This was not the end of the personal touches, on Sunday morning we were presented with Easter eggs and planted flowers in a nice pot.
The Site. The Site has 5 large hard standings all fully serviced. There is no aerial hookup however it is not needed as the signal is strong, even our avtex aerial picked up all the freeview channels. As others as stated the 'hut' is very well appointed with modern bathroom facilities. Even the chemical waste point as been very well thought out. The whole site and facilities are maintained to a very high standard.
It is very obvious that Louise, Greg & Harvey are very proud of their site and rightly so.
Location. Down the bottom of a country lane but we had no problem with a 8 meter twin axle. There are plenty of public footpaths adjacent to the site and apart from local farm traffic the lanes are very quiet. It as nice to just sit and watch the birds feed from the well Stocked feeders adjacent to each of the pitches.
Even though the weather was not kind during the week we were still very sad to leave this peaceful haven.
Summary. A excellent site owned by a lovely family and not to be missed.
Home from Home!
If you enjoy CL's where you have to dig a hole to dispose of the toilet/ waste and lug water from a slow running tap across 2 fields ( as we have done over the last 30 years), then this site is not for you!
We did not believe a CL could reach the standard that Poole Farm and it's meticulous owners Louise, Greg and Harvey have attained. Everything that physically could be done has been, but the personal touches are just as important. You will have to visit to fully understand.
WOW!!!
We can only endorse all of the other 5 star reviews we have read for Poole Farm. Louise and Greg went to such great lengths to welcome us we were made to feel like members of the extended family.
The site is beautifully kept and the facilities are all maintained to the highest standard. It is so obvious that a huge amount of thought and care is put into the site and every effort made to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
Thank you Louise, Greg and Harvey - wishing you a very successful season and hoping it wont be too long before we can come and visit again!

A memorable Christmas!
Our second visit to this wonderful CL. Greg, Louise and Harvey made us so welcome, even giving us a very special Christmas hamper to enjoy during our stay! Their kindness and generosity extended to welcoming us into their home on Christmas morning with champagne and canapés. Thank you so much for making our Christmas so special. Lisa, Duncan and Sarah. X
Superb CL
This site certainly deserves to be cl of the year. As mentioned in previous reviews,we were welcomed by Louise and Greg with tea and biscuits on arrival. We were then shown around the site, by Louise while telling us about the local area and places to visit. The on site dog walking area was great for out two springers as it gave them a chance to run around off the lead. The site is well laid out with large gravel pitches and spotless facilities. The site is a credit to Greg and Louise and would recommend a visit if you want a quiet relaxing holiday.
What more can be said !!!
We have just returned from our first stay at Poole farm, having read the reviews previously i didn't think it could be that good , how wrong one could be .
Louise and Greg without being intrusive made our 7 night stay the perfect place to stay , with the welcomed tea on arrival and the delivery of the cream teas to the vans one evening . We will certainly be rebooking in the future.
Ps I fear for my waist line as Louise shared the scone recipe with Mrs P
Our Wonderful Holiday
Poole Farm certainly is C.L of the year. Louise Greg and Harvey certainly made us feel very special. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits and even a cream tea was delivered to our door one evening! Nothing was to much trouble and the site was very clean and tidy. Thank you for making our holiday great.

A 6 Star Site!!
It isn't just the site that makes it excellent, and it is immaculate, it is the genuine welcome that you receive from Louise, Greg and Harvey plus what they do to make your stay memorable from the tea and cakes on arrival (and during your stay) to the newspaper delivery and the help they give to sort out problems (no matter how small). They work as a brilliant team and get the right balance between maintaining and improving the site and taking steps to ensure that they are there to make your stay as enjoyable as they can without being over the top. If there was a 6 star rating I would give Poole Farm it, the best CL that we have stayed at and there are some strong competitors out there.
5star CL
What a wonderful CL !
Greg and Louise are the perfect hosts with a really epic CL situated in rural Cornwall/Devon border.
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to go home.
Thank you and we will be back please.
