So near, but yet so far

A five pitch site in an oasis. So close to everything but still in the countryside. Railway station so close, to London or Portsmouth. Local shops an easy walk. We were there when the farmers market was open on the Sunday. Bus to Guildford, which was a nice surprise. The lido there is excellent value. Hardstanding pitches level, EHU, £1.50, included in your £20 fee, used £1.14 more over 4 nights. Saw family of deer in adjacent fields. Will return.

A gem of a site!

What a lovely peaceful site in a busy area of Surrey, not far off the A3 and fast access to London, Portsmouth or anywhere in between. Beautiful local countryside, with so many wooded and heathland areas to walk, you're spoilt for choice. The site itself is flat and levelling is dead easy, pitches are spacious with mown grass plus compacted gravel driveways and parking strips. Penny & Jeff are a delightful couple, extremely helpful and welcoming without being at all intrusive. On this site you aren't handed an A4 sheet of rules but all whom we met there treated the location with great respect. Dogs are welcome and there are some good dog walks nearby. Will definitely return.

Being Countryside dwellers from Cornwall we loved this site. A gem amidst populated areas of Godalming, Guildford and to the coast.

Easy access, Good welcome from the owner who explained about the electric metering. First £1.50 is included in daily fee, any excess units are charged for on leaving. An excellent idea in our opinion. In our experience lately many sites are just adding on as much as £5 a day for the power crisis which if you've got a small or medium sized van there is no way you would accumulate that many units of electricity. We stayed 3 nights and didn't have to pay any extra. The main Portsmouth to Waterloo line is 2 minutes walk away, excellent. You can't hear the trains from the site and they don't run all night anyway. Medium amount of traffic on roads outside the site but there are pedestrian walkways so very safe. Lovely little walk into village of Milford, grocery, butchers, wine shop!! Barbers, fish n chips. Everything you could possibly need and loads of lanes and walks and footpaths everywhere. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return. Only 5 pitches in a lovely field with grazing sheep other side of the fence, all south facing so looking forward to returning in the summer. Bring baby wipes though as no loos or showers, you need your own facilities.

Excellent site

What a great little site, lovely views over the fields and they have sheep which I love. So peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. Close to lots of places of interest by walking or car. The owners are really nice and very helpful. Can't wait to go again. Lorraine and Mal.

2 nights may 22 loved it

our first visit to this CL and loved it - exactly what we like best about CL's- private, welcoming, secure. Great welcome from site owners and very relaxed on site - lovely walks within a few minutes drive which our springer loved - easy access to local station and to essential shops but site itself private and quiet. Pitches nicely arranged and view of sheep in fields each side and nightly stroll across fields by local fox.

9 days well spent in enjoyable surroundings

There is much to say that is positive about this site, firstly the access is relatively easy, unless you don't listen carefully to the code you're given to get in - My mistake not the owners - and I do like the security take on this. I would say that photos of all sites lead to expectations and I cannot deny that the ones on the site are of the CL, but I would say that actually arriving there the site itself was beyond my expectations, which is contrary to a number of sites we have visited. If you are a map obsessive like myself you could also be concerned about the proximity of the railway line and station - this was totally unfounded. I would be a liar to state I heard nothing, but certainly nothing above the sound of bird song. I don't know Surrey particularly well and thus the quality of the walking and the area in general was a very pleasant discovery. The Grass was starting to get a little long and it was early in the season - but as all the pitches are hard standing this only impacted the 'carpet' on the awning. For us it was 9 very good days leading up to and including Easter.

Perfect

We stayed at this wonderful little site for the weekend to visit our daughter in Godalming. We received a lovely welcome from Jeff and Penny and told to pick our spot. If you like wildlife this place has it all. The most beautiful birds (the feathered variety) all day long and a field full of very friendly sheep! Fortunately for us lambs too! The only downside was we had to leave after 2 days.

A cracker of a site.

As we pulled in the owner wandered out to help us pick a pitch. Peaceful site, really well laid out, not sure what else you could want from a CL. As we were attending a gig in Godalming and I didn't want to drive I enquired about a taxi, owner suggested the train, a 5 minute walk from the site. £5.20 for 2 of us return, a bargain. A gem of a site, I would thoroughly recommend to all you happy campers. Not sure why there were only Bailey's a bit spooky...… We will definitely look to return.
